I see that all you from breakfast to supper are all carbs. Please try and supplement your diet with some vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats like avocado.

I see you use a lot of plastic plates, try and eat with china, stainless, glass or aluminum plates as plastic plates can be very harmful and cause some sorts of cancers, especially when use in the microwave or pour hot water to make garri.

Instead of milk and sugar, opt for lupton or green tea with honey.

Drink lots of water instead of soda, beers or liquor.

Pap is better because it contains less preservatives, it you want good taste, to for Millet (Gero) Pap, the one used for 'koko'. If you don't have access to it we produce Powdered Pap and can supply you. Our products is good and the quality of the taste didn't change.

Guy, the two (pap and custard) are from the same source. Corn is corn, but the ways they are processed make the difference. Custard is a capital No. And pap needs special attention.

When you want to buy pap, consult the Ijebus. Ijebu garri, papa, fufu rock. Don't ever buy garri and pap from SS, SE, or North oooo. Run down to SW. Consult the Ijebus on the way forward.

Guy, everything partaking to grains and tubers like cassava, corn, soy, etc are GMOs. I mean it. 99.9999% seeds are GMO. These grains produced from GMO has anti nutritional substances. Some bind amino acids and minerals in grain so that they are locked up, and your body cannot absorb them, you just poo them out later. While others are toxins in the body which do you harm by destroying your gut initially, then, progress to autoimmune diseases, before they reach their final destination, which is cancer. Cancer is what you eat. It is as simple as ABC. Go take statistics, everyone who dumps GMOs and and grains that aren't processed well don't get cancer. And those who quickly adjust their diet even after detecting cancer at early stage beat it nicely.

Guy, there is a natural method to at least make these grains ok if you are an addict. Personaly, I'm going to suggest you keep off totally. Someone like me had to order for heirloom generational seeds that aren't GMO. And they are terrible scarce these days. It is easier for me because I am a farmer. So, what you need to do is consult the Ijebus and learn fermentation. When you put garri in your mouth, and you squeeze face, that's what you should buy. When you eat pap (called ogi by the Yorubas), and it tastes sour, that's what you should go for.

This is how I prepared mine.

1. I dried the starch ordered from pap (corn starch) sellers who know about the Ijebu style. Even garri. Say no to yellow garri from the east. Na cancer oooo cos of GMOs.

2. I dry it.

3. I buy strawberry, other berries and banana. Note that, I buy green bananas that are unripe and I ripe them myself naturally. Don't go buy banana from traders and retailer. Na cancer ooo. Calcium Carbide is cancer. Research it and the chemical 99.9% traders and retailers use to ripen banana, mango, oranges, and some other fruits.

4. Dry your berries and self ripened banana.

5. Blend into powder

6. Mix Ijebu pap with dried fruits powder

7. You gat a better version of pap which is natural, and almost free (not 100% free) from toxins and anti nutrients.

You better abandon bread totally, and find cassava flour bread. 100% cassava flour bread. Wheat bread is Lagos Ibadan Express Way to cancer. Fact. Go research it. The one called "Agege" bread is like boarding "Sosoliso" to Aso Rock. That airline? Hmmm! I lost a dear one in it too bro. Agege bread is Sosoliso. That akara you dey chop.....hmmmm. You better run for steamed bean called "Moi moi". And better take the one with palm oil if tour blood group allows you to take it. Still using eating fried food? Consuming high Omega 6 in those badly processed oil uses by those road sellers? Na waoooooo!

Really? I have been to SA but I don't "understand that Nigeria is heaven in food". People are generally malnourished in Nigeria. Don't you have a problem with OP's routine diet? Empty carbohydrates for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No vegetables and fruits, and hardly any proteins. Imagine raising a child on that type of diet. The child's mental capacity will definitely be greatly diminished.

By "tastes better" I guess you mean smells nicer and better. I don't agree that custard tastes better than pap. Custard without sugar tastes like paracetamol

Custard is artificial Pap is natural

Since you take it often like daily i advise you make it yourself its very easy

1. Buy your corn or dawa/jero (just a Mudu is ok)
2. Soak in water for a day if its corn 2 days
3. Take to a grinding machine and grind
4. Sieve
5. Keep in your freezer or keep changing the water daily

By doing this your are sure of the hygiene and its handy and cheap

Pap if fresh tastes better than custard..thing is you can only be sure it's fresh if it's made by u.

If u are talking of taste alone, no matter how fresh a pap is, it can't taste better that CHECKERS custard. That custard is something else. I don't let it run out in my house. It's just about N2,000 for one pack of it.

Nutritionally, I still believe that good custard will be more in nutrition than just a pap cos custard comes in mixture of other ingredients outside the major corn in which it is made from just like just an ordinary pap.

Where I will tend to prefer pap to custard is when we consider the artificial additives in custard which may not be all that good for some ppl that are placed on some diet restrictions.

Pap is fermented unlike custard. And fermented foods re advantageous to our body system. As a food processor, we would always advice you eat natural foods and prevent consuming processed food as much as u can. Though one cant do without processed food, but when a case like urs now is presented, go for the pap and supplement it with milk etc.

How can you compare natural with processed food.

Processing reduces the nutritional value and then chemicals are added for preservation or beatification purposes.


Pap 10000% better. Add ginger, cloves, garlic , soyabeans..... or use guinea corn.

and you'll feel so much more healthier and in best shape.
