The partnership should be between Anambra State and UAE. Where are those 5 developers who broke into the bureau de change in Dubai? They represent one partner in the business plan. |

jaxxy:Do you know how much corruption exists in UAE and other gulf states? It makes whatever happens in Nigeria a kindergarten affair. Have you heard of Billionaires Row in London? Who do those mansions belong to? Is it not Arab oil sheikhs? If the right deals are done, with or without corruption, it will transform Kano. Is Eko Atlantic not turning to Dubai before our very eyes? |

Rosskiki:So they steal their government and public funds and people hail them like here or they have their own private investment? U better deal with the truth of ur country even if they at all steal not to the detriment of the country’s development like here that’s for sure. Nonsense |

jaxxy:The ONLY reason their living standards are high despite their massive corruption, is their tiny populations allied to huge oil reserves. UAE has 8 million people, with 3 times Nigeria's oil reserves and 3 times Nigeria's daily exports in barrels. So why would anyone experience hardship there? And NO, their leaders DO STEAL the money, in many cases as permitted by law. The oil sheikhs who hold no elections, with power transferred within ruling families from father to son, plus cousins, aunts, uncles and sisters, actually have LAWS which stipulate that x amount of billions of dollars would be transferred annually into Sheikh A and Sheikh B's family accounts. Due to their tiny population, they can do this and still be able to provide high living standards to the general population. I mean, try and actually study other nations before worshiping them. That's how folks like you end up in slavery in Libya, because you think foreigners are infallible angels with perfectly running societies. In many of those places you can't do the things we take for granted in Nigeria, like drinking a beer, criticising the president, voting, forming a political party or other social movement, driving a car as a woman, or even practicing your chosen faith. |

Rosskiki:So u know have more population and lesser oil reserves or output and u still don’t know u shud plan better? Is dubi just spending their oil money or building tourism and many other stuffs to secure their prosperous future? Even with all our oils we steal more than we invest, we carry out shabby projects with inflated budgets and Ure giving excuses for us. Dubi is working with a formula/model that secures their future and u are saying it’s cos of our population we are a shithole. Lybia is none of my business and I’m not worshipping Dubai or any foreign country at that, I believe in learning from better models and applying it appropriately to ur own situation effectively. 10/15 years America didn’t have oil they learnt a hard lesson from opec cuts and went all out to discover their own oil, now they are top producers, These are countries that plan and achieve not making damn excuses for decades and having absolutely nothing to show for it. |

jaxxy:Abeg spare me your bullshit of our ''having nothing to show for it''. If you have ''nothing to show for it'', how come you can type into a computer or phone? Could your grand or great grandparents read and write, and have tvs, fridges, and cars to drive on fancy expressways and flyovers? NO. They were lucky just to own a bicycle. SO YOU HAVE COME AHEAD, like MILLIONS of other Nigerians. Appreciate where you are or you will never receive more from the universe. The problem is that people like you think the world comprises only developed nations, because you only travel to Europe or Dubai or USA because of your colonial history and westernization. Go around to the majority of the world - places like Peru, Zambia, Burma, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Togo, Tanzania, Senegal, Cuba, Bolivia, Jamaica, Liberia and other places. When you do, and finally discover that the problems faced by Nigeria are roughly the same faced by MAJORITY of nations on earth, you will stop hating your country quite so much, and give it it's needed time to develop. |

Rosskiki:U compete with urself bt compare urself with those higher than u in order to learn. I’m talking about Nigeria’s wastage and growth in comparison to its resources and potential. If we had no oil, educated man power/work force or agriculture etc and live in the Stone Age I wouldn’t be bothering my head cos we can’t all be equal bt when we have a lot and doing so little yet wasteful I think dats a calamity for any country. America with all they have are trying to cut wastage and unnecessary spending and here we are with our politicians trying to live like Dubai sheikhs in the midst of grand poverty? We need to face reality the of our situation and deal with it till we get it right. Since gsm and computer age watelse cannwe boast of? |

jaxxy:America has always being an oil producing nation and at no time did Nigeria's oil out put surpass America. They have oil and reserves more than us. Also OPEC is controlled by America, if you don't know, know now. |
| Re: Kano State Partners UAE For Kano–Dubai Twin-City Project by jaxxy(m): 12:26pm On Aug 29, 2019 |
ubcandid:Sorry yes America has always been an oil producing country bt due to their large demand for oil had been very dependent on foreign oil from Saudi, Kuwait, Libya and opec in general, up until 2010 when revamped its domestic oil policies and by 2015 becomes the largest oil producer asides Saudi Arabia. This was an intentional strategy to be less dependent on foreign oil after the global financial crisis is 2008. The Us was never a member of opec, same as Russia tho oil producers Bt more like independent producers that work along with opec globally. My point is that, that is a country that thinks ahead and plans and achieves more than it set to achieve. |

jaxxy:I don't need you to teach me the Operations, modalities and functions of OPEC, America runs OPEC period!!! They are always strategizing for personal gains, a detail I wouldn't want to go into here. |
