On Friday, the newly sworn-in minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio met with some ex-agitators of Niger Delta to foster peace in the region, Brainnews report.

“Along with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, I had a meeting with some ex-agitators of Niger Delta under the aegis of Youth for Peace and Development in the Niger Delta in my office in Abuja,” the minister said.

Niger Delta really needs to make use of this opportunity, only them has a whole ministry of Nigerdelta, they also have nigerdelta commision with multi billion naira amnesty program and 13% derivatives... i just hope apkabio and keyamo act diferently from the previous looters heading that ministry

Politics will just force people to a position they don't understand how it work for political rewards.

In Nigeria, if study medicine, You find yourself in shoe company.

You study engineering and you find yourself treating Patience in the hospital.

You study mass communication and you are working with housing estate agent.
(That's if you are lucky to find work).

Akpabio ministerial slots is a reward of political honor, not that he knows what to do with the appointment.

His political god must be very strong to keep him relevant.
