You are right too though but on few occasions. Most of the people arrested most times partake in the crime.

Give them 50 years jail term each.

The problem with this is that the police only arrested them for collect bail out fund
And their parents or relatives will bail them out. So the circle of arrest and bailing continues. From my experience the only time these boys are scared of their lives is when the community they live in turn against them and start hunting and dealing with them.

According to street, 2 people were shot when a street party organiser didn't settle police, people knew who did it but can't talk, who did it arrested the organiser for being a cultist, planted gun and said he was caught with it, bail is 500k.this is nigeria

Like I said earlier it's possible but not something frequently done.
