Hello all!


I am about getting married to a lady I met two months ago. We barely know each other. We've only met twice. First was the day she visited me at my place, the next was on the day of introduction.

We rarely talk on phone. I guess maybe because we're either shy or not familiar with each other yet.

Well, that's not why I created this thread. I create this thread because it's just four days to our wedding and it just rained on me that we'd have run some medical test before even getting started.

I don't want to marry a SS, AS, womb less or HIV patient. I've already gone far in the wedding preparation. I've done almost 90% of the needful and the money I've spent so far is 2m+.

Fear of the unknown is gripping me. I thought of going for test today but I've already gone far to cancel this wedding. This wedding means everything to me plus dignitaries would attend the wedding.,And again, I can't marry one who is not medically fit.

I don't believe in miracle or prayers. So don't tell pray for a HIV positive person to turn negative.

If you had done the proper thing and was suppose to be married in a Church, I am quite sure your church would have asked for you guys to go for tests.

I know you are atheist though, just saying. You will have to carry your cross at this point as you also already mentioned the marriage will be contracted for a few years.

You can always adopt, surrogacy can also be done etc. Your options are unlimited as long as you have the financial capability. So, that shouldn't be an issue.

But how come, your wife to be didn't ask for it to be done too

If truly this marriage means everything to you plus you are very concerned not to marry AA and AS, wombless, HIV lady why then didn't u remember all of this b4 now? What will happen if after d wedding u find out dt she's got one of dese things, will u divorce her? U better go n get tested b4 d day, check for hepatitis too tho. Happy married life in advance

These are the tests to do before marriage

For both couples, HIV, hepatitis B and C, Syphillis, genotype.
For your lady, since you are on a time frame for her fertility(in view of your previous threads) blood group especially rhesus factor, pelvic Ultrasound scan to assess her womb. General fertility tests like hormonal profile or HSG if she is advancing in age.

For the man, seminal fluid analysis, we can't be firing blank shots now can we?
