That is not what I meant

I meant interest is paid upfront after successful bids.

Even if is 90, 180 or 364days

Yes, rates are calculated based on 12 months.

Still doesn't make sense on 500k. If he gives it to an established and honest business person, he can get more than that as ROI. 91, 182 and 364days...

It is a lie, 500k can do much unless the guy is married with many kids to feed. I started my business with just 350k yesterday made it a month and my profit is above 50k. It is just God's grace and having knowledge about business because I went to apprenticeship. With my determination and God's grace my shop will soon have branches. am sure u have never done tbils before. The interest is per annum. And it will be prorated. So u will get around 6k for 500k in a month. 90 days tbill will give u 18k. So what the hell is 18k in 3 months.
He only hear of the percentage and he thought is per month. Many people don't know about this interest rate stuff.

Please I Need Help; What Viable Business Can #500k Start In Portharcourt

I lost my bank job of over 4 years early this year. My efforts towards securing another job since then has been futile. I've invested in all sorts of online business but none yielded reasonably.

I have resolved to set up a business with my only savings of N500k here in Port Harcourt.

On your profile I saw make make up to 40k on your phone or something like that. Then I saw "we sell live goats" those are business enough for you or are you saying you want to diversify?

Great Nairalanders especially those resident in Port Harcourt, I've come for your advice. What business (NOT ONLINE) can I start with my 500k savings here in Port Harcourt?.

God bless as you advise

How about hair parlour (salon) for both male and female.. They could also fix nails and lashes too, sell weave ons and those hair accessories .. Thinking of going into that one soon, but I've not made all the needed enquiry.. Good luck with anyone you finally settle for
I have been seriously planning on this too.to setup a standard unisex saloon, though still making enquiries on how much it will cost to set up one

Start up a blog with atleast 20k, designing the blog is another thing as everything will cost approximately 70-100k. Post consistently and make your blog lively and interesting. The more traffic you get, the more your money piles up. The least average blogger earns atleast $500 dollars per month.
easier said than done.... U dint tell him of the approval issues and the continuity in original content..... Blogging is tasking with profit only referenced to the future after patient nd long waiting besides the op is looking for current investment possibilities

In order to get a shop big enough to do both barbing and hairdressing, he needs 500k a year as rent. Agency fee and union fees not included and to add accessories and probably hair, he'll be needing close to 2M. Some weavons even cost close to his budget.

He should rather go for a mini standard barbers shop. All he needs do is to get the place running with the necessary equipments and a good barber who will be making weekly returns to him. In this case, he won't be paying salary, but will be getting paid weekly by the barber. PH people like efizy, give them taste and collect their money. I will even suggest he connects DSTV in the shop 'cause he'll be getting more customers on match days.
yea... You are on point..

Dear,
With 500k, you can do much even in this economy.
What if I tell you that you can make at least 100k each month by investing 350k.
You might think it's a scam or not possible.
It's 100% legit and possibly!
Exportation will surprise you.
The most important things you need here to start include;
1. A good Knowledge of the products and business (I can get you ther).
2. A registered business with both CAC (corporate affairs commission and NEPC (Nigerian exporting promoting council.
3. Register with any b2b platform of your choice (but I would recommend globalbuyersonline to fit your budget).
4. A mobile phone to answer calls
5. Internet enabled device (your Android device can do the work needed)
6. email address.
7. Business or personal bank account.
If your are interested, I will explain more in detail.

Well you are among the lucky ones. But stop advising people to go into blogging with the mindset of becoming millionaire. It doesn't work for everyone.

No investment now will give him immediate profits. Unless he goes into sports betting or ponzi which can give him instant profit if he wins. Aside that, every other business requires patience.. just like planting a fruit. Water it well and watch it grow and produce fine fruits in the future.

Hope you know the 12% is for one year, right?
Can you live in 60k for one year?

1StopRudeness:

U do realize the 12% profit on t-bills is on a per annum cruise?
meaning the 60k u are looking at is what he will spend for a year while his 500k is tied down at the bank....

no let the guy result to buying sniper when the 60k remain 500naira by the second month oooo

Yah... I should have been clearer... 60k per annum which divided by 12 is 5k/month. Of course it's not a livable income, but neither is a business with 500k after all things considered. Starting business in Naija since 2015 is not what it used to be, and I've funded a few businesses myself with that kind of money only to see the thing dwindle to nothing. First rent of shop, then equipment, then supplies, then utilities. So you may have sunk up to 500k just starting up. Then you hope to see 5k-10k/month profit (which is about 10%-20% on 50k/month sales, very reasonable numbers).

The money I jejely put in tbills is quietly earning me interest and I still have my principal. Eventually, when I gather enough, I will continue building real estate, but this takes time.

Generally, businesses of any kind have an ROI of at most 20% annually. To earn any good return on 500k with a business that you can live on, you will have to work very very hard and risk losing all your money. Might as well work for somebody and keep your principal.

go to MBA Forex at GU Ake road former OPM road and invest 360k to get 15% of your investment every month, spreading to six months duration which the investment contract expires, and you get back your 360k you invested. after the six months you can reinvest again and again.
