You want to compare the quality of opponents in Afcon to that of the world cup?
We played same pattern in Russia and we know how far.

Calm down, let's wait till January and see how he fares. We can now talk about national team invite
So far, so good to say the least. If we wait till January, nobody will be praising Osimhen.

That does not in anyway make them a big name club

No ambitious club will buy washed off has- beens
They obviously need to start from somewhere. Did City start with signing the likes of Aguero and Silva after Mansour took over?

We (incl I) may not like Rhor's style but it's been getting us result. I love attacking football but an all attack team is not good. Balance is the keyword.

In actual fact, I don't think we were very poor at the world cup. We lost to a better Croatia. We lost to Argentina bacause the coach delayed making changes and because an overhyped Moses refused to follow the scorer - I think Rojo. We won Iceland.

You're saying his talent vanished after the Olympics or he never was talented in the first place?
What I see is a player on the right path after an ill adviced move. He presently plays for an ambitious club and so far he has been very good. Ekong and Omeruo played for lesser teams in Turkey and still played for the super eagles.
I don't understand the negative stereotype he is getting. It smells like an agenda driven bias.
I've got to agree with you. Dude deserves a look in. Playing in Turkey should not be an excuse.

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen continued his brilliant start at Lille, scoring his third and fourth goal of the season in a French Ligue 1 match against Saint-Etienne on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old started from the bench but came on for injured Loic Remy in 19th minute.

He gave his side the lead in the 37th after receiving the ball from Domagoj Bradarić.

Lille doubled their lead in the 69th minute as Jonathan Bamba scored from the spot.

Osimhen recorded his second goal of the night as he put the ball into Stéphane Ruffier's net in the 74th minute after an assist from çelik.

It ended 3-0 in favor of the home team and fans across the world took to Twitter to shower praise on Osimhen's goalscoring prowess. Here are some of their comments:

@MarcClimpson: "#footballindex That Osimhen is a proper player. Both feet and a real threat in the air. Taking up good positions and will score lots this season. Loic Remy off injured too".

@DieLigt : "Osimhen goal! 3rd in 3 matches. starting spot should be his next week".

@SSE_NGA: "Starting the game from the bench, Victor Osimhen came in for Loic Remy on 19 minutes. Exactly 18 minutes later, he SCORES! That's what Champs are made of! #LOSCASSE".

@Samdoe22: "Victor Osimhen scoring? Water is wet."

@freehitZ: "Who needs Pepe when You've Got Osimhen ?"

@iamOkon: "As predicted. Victor Osimhen puts Lille ahead and goes ahead to dance Shaku Shaku. Beast form! 3rd goal of the season. #Ligue1".

@MikeThePundit: "Victor Osimhen strike once more. This time, it's against St Etienne. Baller."

@Jollofricejim: "God is Good. Victor Osimhen has found his level and its the French Ligue 1."

@PoojaMedia: "Victor Osimhen is lighting up Ligue 1."

@FABIANOFLAGOS: "Osimhen with 3 goals in 3 matches. He is definitely going to light up the Uber eats league this season"

@Gibney_A: "Victor Osimhen has no right to score this. What a joy it's going to be to watch him this season. I'm in love #losc ".

@deejayfaremi: "Another goal for Victor Osimhen ! It's his world and we are all living in it. #LOSCLive".

@ZachLowy: "That's 4 goals in 3 games for Victor Osimhen at Lille. With Odion Ighalo retiring from international football, Nigeria couldn't have asked for a better successor."

A club signing 35yr old former star is going down instead of moving up, ask QPR

He haa played 37 games of professional first team football he is nearly 22.

I find it hard to look at that as outstanding quality his parent team is not a team bustling with top quality players. So he will have OPPORTUNITY bit it seems his quality is in doubt.

Why then is there so much interest in him by the NFF, is there something l am missing.huh
Arsenal were once interested in him. He definitely would be a great addition to SE
