Hey!
You don't have to be above 40 years to have that kind of response. A search through the internet will inform you that 20 year olds also have this type of response. @Imanbkd may have received suboptimal treatment or she may have DOR which is not a respecter of your age.
shithapuns:

harvesting only 4 eggs is low, are you above 40yrs??, what ivf protocol did they use?, what are the grades of the embryos transferred, i suppose it was day 3 transfer?. y did they transfer only 2?. the 1 they left behind...was it frozen?, do u intend to do a FET?, If yes to FET, BE ON A diet of avocado pear daily for at least 1month,

i would suggest you calm down, prepare your body for 3 to 6months...b4 trying again.
first detox your system, then be on ubiquinol and forever royal jelly, and omega 3 for minimum of 3months b4 u try again
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by zest4allife: 9:03am On Aug 29, 2019
You seem to have good quality eggs as 3 out of 4 fertilized and you were able to transfer 2. The blood tests you do will determine the treatment you should require. For example, if you have high FSH (above 10) you can take supplements such as wheatgrass juice over a period of at least 3 months to bring it down. You may also do an estrogen prime during the luteal phase before the cycle for the IVF, as estrogen masks FSH and brings it down. What these two processes do is allow the ovaries produce more follicles that will reflect as higher AFC (antral follicle count).
You can also decide to do mini-ivf and bank the blastocysts till you get an appreciable number of embryos for transfer.
Your IVF protocol also matters, you need to engage your doctor so that you are not given a 'one size fits all' protocol.

Other supplements that can still improve egg quality are Ubiquinol (preferable to CoQ10), vit e, vit c, vit d3, folic acid/folate, EPO, dha and epa. These should be taken for at least 3 months before you go for another round of IVF.

God's grace in your desire of being a biological mother. We can clarify further any info you require.

Imanbkd:
Hello house please what should one take to increase IVF success rate i did once but was not successful they only retrieve 4eggs but 3 fertilize and 2 was transferred but was not successful i had fibroid removed last year October so I want to try again at Abuja in one hospital call Charisto bo headed by Dr Onaja please help me with advice.

Hi Mamas....

Long time I know...

Well, not without a good reason grin

To the glory of God I had my bouncing baby boy on 16th of August at past 9pm.

My heart is filled with joy and overwhelmed.

After almost 7 years of marriage and my first ever pregnancy and ivf procedure(at Grabbo Clinic), God has wiped my tears away with the most beautiful baby.

I pray that everyone here will receive their desired testimonies as well, Amen.

What wonderful choice of names. Praise God for them. I do hope they mention ivf in their testimony so Atleast one woman in the congregation will get direction/motivation rather than leave there feeling “why is my case different?”

ivf is an expensive and complex process, submit yourself to the docs/gynae, let them run the show, though arm yourself with info so as to be sure they are doing the right thing.

ivf has different protocols, Long, Short, Agnotist etc., some tell you to come on the 3rd day of ur cycle, some tell u to come on the 21st day of ur cycle...its results from ur tests that will determine the protocol, that the hospital will choose for you...................

God is good, congrats @ebonynelly, may God bless and protect the baby
@imanbkd, I have used Charisto bo by Dr. Onoja, the husband to the owner of Grabbo. His clinic is neat, well equipped, nice staff and wonderful doctor but these are what I noticed about him (I had bfn).
1. He hides information away from you even if you ask
2. He did Embryo transfer without scan (I asked but said is the old way of transferring). No records
I think his wife clinic (Grabbo) is better off his own.

For any1 that will want to try any drug before ivf, I recommend FH Pro for women by fair haven though expensive but worth trying. It combined prenatal vitamin with COQ 10, innositol (for pcos) etc. A complete fertility diet for ivf patient. Its #30k per container (1month) but I got mine from their distributor at Abuja at cheaper price.
I wish you all the best of God in your trying

congrats @ebonynelly our God who answered u will hear our tears too.

My sisters am back here with a heavy heart, I made a wrong decision going to Moses of El-R a.ph.a, he claimed it was a promo, I spent all I saved with him and ended up with a cancelled circle due to poor response. wished I had learnt from mama Joana40, her experience was similar, Moses made me pay through my nose by starting off with hysteroscopic surgery, he would usually charge u for procedure first and you will be thinking it includes drugs and after procedure the will tell you drugs were different. for the surgery I was charged 130k, promolut n and progynova to build endometrium after procedure was 11500.
Blood samples were collected for tests on day too, he only did FSH, lh and prolactin. he said all were normal. I demanded for AMH he said he only does it if FSH is high. we did scan I demanded for AFC, he was angry and told me how he has been doing this for over 15yrs

, I resumed for ivf proper when period started, I started with bus r elin on day2 and letrozole (N5000 for 10tabs) from day3, HuMog (300iu) at 24k daily, busre lin (0.2) daily- this was charged different, I started stims and was on it for 8days, he said I only had 2follicles and cancelled and said we could increase dose or I change protocol, this implied I buy drugs and start all over, meanwhile he told me initially my drugs were 400k for procedure due to my age and the procedure was 450k, I later learnt( cos he will make u pay everything before u even get to half of stims) that I was to pay a separate 85k for preparation for embryo transfer, 40 for two hcg,so I paid above 1.1mil, He later refunded my 653k after the circle was cancelled on the seventh day of the circle.

when he cancelled the circle that only two follies were seen I asked why he could not determine this earlier, and I told him, based on research, increasing dosage has never had any improved outcome, am leaving back to Lagos shattered and broken, as it seems he was not sure of what will bring a better outcome.

Mamas, in Lagos pls help recommend a hospita for your sisterl that has good success for advanced age without pcos. Am advanced 39 i was on Dhea and unbiquinol for more than 3months,, I spent unnecessarily in Abuja, I had bad experience with A n droc are and now El r a ph a, am scared of where to go, I don't want to give up. I am financially drained

I gave a detailed review to save others. the following mamas spoke on this hospital before, @Nobody:,@ ebonynelly, Ebalu953, hope43

To God be ALL the glory, I got my BFP and Blood test confirmed it. The IVF/ICSI(One ovary, 6 follices was seen, 2embryo was transferred and 600thousand sperm count) was done at Kingswill fertility hospital at Festac after 7years and 10month waiting, he gave me and my husband birthday gift! This is coming after over 7years and 10month of TTC. I prayed to God to show me mercy.

*RESEARCH, research & more research! Pls. don’t put yourself 100% in ANY doctor’s hands without researching your options & being able to request whatever will benefit you and support from a lot of people on the group

*Insisting on the cancellation because of the two embryo but the doctor encourage me to proceed that God can perform wonder's.

In this successful cycle my lining was 9.4mm before intro of progesterone & 11.1mm on day of embryo Transfer.

*Castor oil pack on tummy almost daily for about two weeks

*Sometimes soaking feet in hot water for 20 minutes, before bed (also to increase blood flow to uterus) before retrieval

* Taking pineapple core for five days after transfer

*Insisting on Day 5 transfer: I had made up my mind after research that even if all our embryos appeared to be struggling, no Day 2 or 3 transfer; if they all died before Day 5, so be it. Luckily we had 80% ICSI fertilisation.
*After the transfer, taking DAILY injections (with Dr’s permission) 2ml Gestone and 400mg cyclogest; quite painful & bum already feels like a pin cushion but for me no sacrifice is too much.

What I’ve learnt (the hard way) on my long, long TTC journey:
No doctor, spouse, family or friend, can desire my success more than my own self: I am my own best advocate! My sisters, despite glowing recommendations of any fertility clinic/Dr, do your own research. Never be afraid to ask questions and always try to go with your gut feelings; run/’talk to your feet’ if you have integrity concerns about any of them; I have also learned that though often tedious and inconvenient, it pays to try to prepare as much as one humanly can (castor oil, massage, foot soak, taking Dhea, vit c, vit e, vit d and folic acid etc), before the embryo transfer and above all, to always pray for God’s mercy & intervention

Thank you to the mummies in the house for support. The Almighty that started his miracle will perfect it to nine month. My prayer is that God will answer every one too. Love you All

when enquired from Grabbo, they said they use same protocol for all, and with my age I was scared that I might need special assessment and individualized protocol, since doc Moses has worked with Nisa I chose to pay higher hoping to get better result. He has agreed to refund half of money, I will go back to Lagos, suggestion for affordable centers that can handle people above 37years will be appreciated
