Friends are mourning an outgoing young mother who died during childbirth. Ifeoma Mauryn Charles Denis reportedly died on August 27 while giving birth to her second child.

Ifeoma, who is apparently well loved as can be seen from the numerous tributes being shared by friends on Facebook, was a teacher.

I know she was having a lot of plans for the innocent child.

Maternal and infant mortality is yet unabated in this country. This is regrettable.

So painful, journey of nine months ended in sorrow God comfort her family and grant her soul eternal rest.

I still find it hard to believe, my former Neigbour years back. saw her in nonwa gbam tai camp PH during my service year little did I know that was the last time am going to see her, Always lively and happy.

The few ones I know is this:
If she lost so much blood while trying to deliver naturally, and blood transfusion is needed but because of poverty from both couples, the husband might go for a cheaper blood. And cheaper blood means blood that's not been screened. Such blood can have any form of infections. A close friend of my neighbor died through such means.

If she's hypertensive and her bp is not monitored all through the pregnancy and during labour time, it can skyrocket and voom! She's dead after delivery.

If the CS is not done properly, she could die as well.

If her cervix is small and cannot push out a baby but refuse to take the option is CS. She and the baby can loose their lives or the baby can be suffocated and killed while forcing it out from the narrow cervix , the natural way .

There are many causes out there.

Labour time for women is the moment in a woman's life where she's faced with either death or life.

Women who have gone through childbirth and are back home safely. Be thanking your God every blessed day.

It's a rare feat.

I normally opt for cs at 38 weeks at FMC, I run from complications.no time.God has been gracious anyways.
