Please stop this misconception, It quite silly.

Just because a place had a Monarch amongst other Monarchs which has ties with Benin empire doesn't mean it belongs to Benin

History should inform you that he met people in Lagos and also ruled over a particular set of people both of whom are Yorubas. They are called Aworis.

The royal family in England has German roots but this doesn't make England a German territory.

Let face the issue at hand and let's not deviate further.

I HATE YROUBA FOR THERE LIES.
EVEN THE WHITE MEN SAID. AND ALSO THE OBA OF LAGOS.
SO WHY LIE.
ASK YOURSELF SOME PLACES IN LAGOS ARE CALLED EDO NAMES.
I LAUGH BECAUSE YROUBAS ARE LIARS.
I BLAIM THE OBA OF BENIN FOR NOT MENTIONING THIS TO PEOPLE.
EVEN WHEN THE ONNI OF IFE SAID LAGOS BELONGED TO YROUBAS I CAN STILL REMEMBER CLEARLY WHEN THE OBA OF LAGOS TOLD HIM TO SHUT UP AND THAT LAGOS BELONGED TO THE BENINS.
EVEN THE WHITE MEN SAID THAT THE FIRST PEOPLE THEY MEET IN LAGOS WERE THE BENINS.
THE PROBLEM ONLY CAME WHEN BENINS STARTED GETTING MARRIED TO YROUBA WOMEN'S AND FOR SURE THEY STARTED BEARING YROUBA NAMES.
LOOK AT DELETE MOMODU FOR EXAMPLE.
EVEN IN LAGOS THERE ARE PLACES THAT SPEAK EDO.
STOP ARGUING BLINDLY.
FACE THE FACT grin

The funny thing is , it's hard to differentiate a south african in Nigeria due to our porous borders and lack of identification , if not it's to order them to leave the country along with mtn , multichoice and ShopRite
You did not not make any sense.

adult give a better solution . Until the Federal government goes hard on south African companies then thier government would stop turning a blind eye on the xenophobic attacks . Adult
a better solution is to deport all nigerians there into shady deals like drugs and prostitution. imagine punishing dangote in ethiopia and zambia because of crimes he knows nothing about on their nationals. things dont work that way. mtn, shoprite etc are not owned by the average south africans in soweto and pretoria. these companies employ 99% nigerias if they leave na u wan give them job ba. mumu

Typing in capital letters to gain traction won't help your situation.

You can hate Yorubas all you like, but your hatred can't change reality. grin

You are also incoherent with your arguments.

You want to attack business that are managed by Nigerians.. A business whose employees are Nigerians.. Businesses that serve Nigerian people in nigeria.. If you attack this business who do you think will lose?

In the whole of Nigeria I don't think there are more than 2000 south Africans.. So think carefully

You inferred that my good friend...go back and read that comment again.

It is quite unfortunate that South Africa that we stood by during their trying times is doing this to us. I could recall writing "Apartheid is a crime against humanity" atop my chalkboard during my primary school days in support of South Africa liberation and consequent ending of the apartheid regime. I seriously think we need to rethink our foreign policy. Taking Africa as the centrepiece of our foreign policy has not paid off!
And I see no reason why our government cannot execute the principle of reciprocity against South Africa. Same reciprocity the US applied against Nigeria this week, forcing the Nigerian government to reduce Visa charges for US citizens

Please my people, help a starving brother. I have been pleading for help since 2 days now. I'm a student who returned to school because of the prospects of exams starting on Tuesday and also because I was opportuned to enter a free ride. my family isn't bouyant enough and my dad has severe high BP that's why I had to find my way so as not to make him to start thinking about where to get money to give me. I haven't eaten a decent food since I got back and am starving.

I am soliciting for help from well meaning people who will be touched enough to hear my plight and have mercy. I am not asking for much, no matter how little, it will go a long way. God bless you all

At times I wonder where the black man actually came from. So much hate for himself and his fellow blacks. No wonder there are no civilized black "only" nations in the world.
What we have are nations full of savages waiting to fully unleash the animal instinct in them.
Someone was killed and the best the beasts could think of is to gather everyone together and burn them. What a race.

Nigerian govt did it in 70's!
