Balloon d'or is a France award given to the best player in the world, usually voted by players(captains), international journalists and coaches.

UEFA player of the year is given to the best player in Europe.

The FIFA world's best award is the grand finale. It is a global award for the best player in the world. It is usually or sometimes given at the beginning of the next year.. e.g early 2020.

Balloon d'or award comes up September 23, 2019 in Italy.

Ronaldo achieved more than him last year and still wasn't given the award..he won champions league, champions league top scorer, scored 15 goals compared to messi's 12,he scored goal of the year too..the Liverpool man is winning this too for sure

Wrong. FIFA's The best is by September, while Ballon d'or is by December. The dates were changed about 2 years ago.

messi this year alone has more goals than last year top 3 combined(ronaldo,salah,griezman),he also has the most assists and won the golden boot.

Ronaldo didn't win because of modric factor

Wow...enlightening. There was a time the Ballon d'or and Fifa world best were merged but later separated. Don't know the reason for that though.

It was even easier for Messi to have won yesterday's award cos it dint include his Copa performance which will b used as a criteria in the balon d'Or ...we all know he was a disaster in that tournament...
