Hahaha

I once attended a traditional wedding. It turned out the groom didn't have money to clear the bills. It was a huge embarrassment for the extended family members that escorted him. Our extended family got so angry that they resolved that before you take them to a wedding, you must bring the list to them and tell them how much you have.

LOL. grin I can't stop laughing. Most Nigerian weddings are disorganized. Pay for the services of a wedding planner, they won't. Bride broke, groom broke, but they want to have a wedding. It's not by force.

On another wedding I attended, the girls parents didn't settle village youths but went ahead to host the event b in the village despite warnings.

The groom assured them nothing dey happen as he be cult boy. He cane with two bus full of boys in case. The community boys went to the venue and off gen, see fight that day. The whole village nearly evacuated as damages on both sides. Guests Cars destroyed and homes vandalised by rampaging guests.

I wouldn't call it my worse wedding experience, but a funny one.

It was the wedding of one advanced couple.
Man in his 60s and wife in her 50s.

The daughters were the bridesmaids...

Since their sons came towards the end, they acted as page boys.

I was just wondering if it is compulsory to do "white wedding".

An event planner can't solve the issue of crazy humans which seems to be most of the issues.

BTW, some event planners are crazy.

My cousins' event planner brought out the programme after the wedding reception after charging an arm and a leg.

Is the program not supposed to be handed to the couple months/days as the case may be before the actual wedding date?

The planners action tells a lot about the kind of planner that was hired for the job.

I have attended just two weddings all my life. My cousin's and a friend's wedding. My cousin's wedding had a planner do most of the arrangements for her and it came out well. Mind you, the guest and families coordinated themselves. As for my friend's wedding, I had to leave before they left. I even dropped my gift without getting a souvenir 'cause people were pushing to get one. What could that be attributed to? I get your point sha.

When they want to cut the cake, the groom's ak47 was erect and was well noticed. So he hurriedly went and sat down. Until after 20 mins

It happened somewhere around Ibadan.
After cutting the cake, the wedded couple are told to show how they will be feeding each other at home. The wife served her husband by kneeling down as per yoruba culture. At the turn of the husband, the guy really fall hands by prostrating for the wife in order to give her cake.

We sha take weddings far more seriously than marriages... How do you explain people using their life savings for a 3-hour ceremony, only to start fighting over feeding money in the first week of marriage.
