Funny thing is my daughter has been using the red pack huggies since November last year and we’ve had no issues whatsoever. She’s never also had diaper rashes even while using other diaper brands

Maybe her system.has strong resistance to such skin issues.our body react to things differently.

But with the rate of fake products flowing inside market, one can't be sure of anything again.

I bought hypo in supermarket ( abi superstore) only for me to realized that it wasn't sealed and the tempo seal was broken. I took it back close to a week and the manager just asked them to change it. No argument not even asking whether I ve other occupants at home who might have done that without my knowledge.

It made me wonder if they actually know that some of their products are fake.

It's not that the diaper gives rashes. The diaper is generally bad. It doesn't absorb urine and when baby poops, it spills through the sides. I used it a few times and whenever I wore it for my son, by the time he wakes up in the morning, its saggy! If I don't change it quickly before he poops, the poo ends up in his trouser

Whenever I want to change bobo's diaper, it looks as if the boy is sit inside water unlike the others we been using that keeps him dry all through.

Hello mamas,

My bobo is 1 WK shy of 4 months. A happy bubbling young man. He eats very well especially his pap. This boy loves the pap more than bobby sef. We started pap with formula at 2months 2 wks. My questions;

What other food can I introduce to him from 4 months?

What about fruits can his stomach can tolerate at 4 months?
See
We started using Huggies diapers ( it's actually a gift) after the 2nd day I noticed rashes on his privates, please has anyone experienced such before or just a coincidence?

My son was using molfix before but we switched to huggies when he was 4 month. He had serious rashes too (baby tribotan and vaseline blue seal did wonders cos the rashes vanished immediately) i guess the change of diaper brand is the cause of the rashes.

If it is the red pack huggies, pls just pack it and throw inside dustbin. Very useless something.

Introducing solids at 2months was risky, thank God your baby took it well. Since you arent breastfeeding exclusively, there are some gerber cereals for 4months upward, avocados are great but pls minimal quantity and like once or twice a day. But remember all a baby needs in their first 6months is just milk; breastmilk or formula.

Is the yellow pack better?

Yeah I understand, hence why I said we have had no issues at all. We had the stains and explosions with other diapers. Just make sure the elastic around the thighs is facing down and no part of the outer flap is folded in

Huggies for the win, till it’s no longer doing it fir us. The band at the back is a plus for me, makes it snug.

I feel you @ bolded. No doubt there are fakes in the market. To survive in this country, we need hawk eyes and street sense.

She has a sensitive skin but diaper rashes hasn’t been one of her problems

Chai, just look at all the plenty food your baby eats and you’re looking for more, we’ll be 20 months next week and we only eat frisogold cereal and August secret, what should I now do? I wish we could eat more,

Just keep doing what you’re doing, she already eats varieties so you shouldn’t have any problem introducing anything new

Good evening mama. I'm currently using molfix pant for my daughter and I usually see lines on her waist as a result of the band does it mean she has passed that size ( we use size 2 and she's just 5weeks and some days old)
2, Her poo leaks out and stains her dress especially if she's either laying down or if carried. Do you experience this with your son? I want to know if I got the fake please.

1. If your baby is on a big side, maybe the size two is small for her. My baby uses size 3 and he os almost 6 months.
2. I experience this only when i didn't notice on time that he has pooed and if the poo is much. It happens mostly when he is sitting down or carried in the sitting position

Wow many people are complaining about the Nigerian huggies when that’s the only brand I’ve used since my LO was born without issues. Maybe this is a good business idea. Please how can I send diapers from Canada to Nigeria for sale? Not only huggies, any brand. Anyone who knows how to begin should send me a PM pls

Good evening mamas in the house. My sister just put to bed twins but she's having very sore nipples such that when she is breastfeeding the girls, she's always crying. Is there anything she use to heal the nipples? Thanks as I await your response

Use Lanolin cream or apply breast milk. The babies are just learning how to latch that’s why it’s so painful. She can bear it, the pain will subside as they get used to sucking. Alternatively, she can also pump to feed them so her nipples can rest since pumping doesn’t ‘stress’ the nipples as such. However, this is not recommended because it’s important to establish breastfeeding before introducing a bottle but with twins, it may not be so easy

Good morning Mamas, happy new month..
I'm a FTM and my LO is 16 days old.

I really want to rant

Pls what do you do to a loved one who keeps giving artificial milk to my LO behind my back becos she feels in her mind, my milk supply is not equivalent to my LO demands. How will I produce more milk when they keep doing this. And this stuff irks me. And it's really difficult expressing my emotion to someone who was really there for me during my CS recovery and more. Like no matter how you explain that I want to attempt EBF, they take offense that baby isn't feeding well and so cos she gets hunger every hour( I feed her on demand) so in their mind, my breasts isn't producing enough milk. These comments give me the stress cos in my mind I feel am not doing enough but according to baby center app, it doesn't matter how long or how frequent I have to feed my LO as far as she poos well and urinate also then all is good.
Pls any recommendations on manual breast pumps, breasts pump wasn't something I wanted to get at this stage becos storage will be a bit of a challenge cos of light issue. Pls help a new mum and a FTM. I'm stressed because of these comments.i want to measure how much milk I can produce.
Cc Zaynie and other mamas pls help.
Had to put my feet down yesterday night when she wanted to give her milk even after breastfeeding her and putting her to sleep, she had to come with her light , touched her and that woke her up, next thing she told me not to worry I should sleep, but I knew her plan, so I kept watching her only for her to. Carry feeder, I stood up. From the bed and carried her to breastfeed.

This one is hard ó.
Shey you cannot carry the milk and hide ni?
Or the feeder sef, hide it.
I can't tell you to constantly breastfeed because that shii is stressful but as long as your baby is full and okay insist she shouldn't be fed anything.

I think the person just wants to connect to your baby as that's the easiest way for a baby to get attached but you're the mom and this is your child. You know best. wink

Are you in your house?
If yes, bottles and milk can disappear temporarily. Just tie them in a black bag and under bed or box for few weeks.
At times, when you express with intent of finding how much you produce can be depressing.feed on high proteins, fluid.google to understand exclusive breastfeeding and Goodluck. Sha! Take it easier with your care giver,as people can only give what they know.

Nope

Asda little angel diaper is a foreign brand. It's very good but pricey. For size 5, the giga economy pack is about 5,500 here
When mall for Africa was still awesome, I and some mamas here used to order for it. Then it was like 2k. But the price on the site suddenly went up

Newborn babies shud sleep on their backs not stomachdown at least for the first threemonths, this prevents SID(sudden infant death syndrome)

Ok, I just started using Angel that has the blue pack, and so far so good, it has been awesome. The medium pack is 2,300 0r so.

Meanwhile, my little angel clocked 1 on saturday, August 31st. She took her first step on August 30th, I want to appreciate God for His faithfulness upon her, throught the one year journey, we did not have any cause to panic over her. The only thing that took us to the hospital is immunisation, It is not by power nor by might but its just the Grace of God. Teething, crawling, walking and every other milestones, they all went smoothly. It can only be God.

Help me celebrate my little angel. OLAMIPOSI IRORUNOLUWA BERNICE MOROPEDA.

Pictures coming up by weekend.

First of all, congratulations.

I think the best thing to do is to keep the formula and the bottles away from her.
Most people (especially if they have raised children too) do not understand why we want to ebf. I had the same issue with someone and i educated her that it's natural for the baby to be hungry all the time in the first few weeks because of the size of their stomach

If you are going to be working while breastfeeding, I would advise you to go for an electric pump (preferably rechargeable). But if not, you can use manual, you also do not have to splurge on expensive ones, I have the Avent manual pump and the cheaper Dr. Gym manual pump, I really cant see the difference, despite the fact there's a 8000 naira price difference.

Sorry ehn, it will get better. Just take it a day at a time.
