You and Charles need to stop missing the point. This is not a comparison but an analogy of anonymous rise. Ramon has not had it easy club wise.... career has never really flown despite all his time in Spain. But he is getting back to that stuff that made me fall in love with him in 2009. Kelechi Nwakali is going through similar struggles not exactly akin to Ramon's but also all about him not shining just yet. tbaba1234: |

Stop repeating what I have already said. If you really understood what you read, you won't be typing me this. I guess Ramon still never featured for a third tier team Abi? I have already addressed what K.Nwakali needs to do with this second chance at a new team away from his former Arsenal ties and why I mentioned Ramon. Ramon for the first time in 10 years is giving me hope he can really wear that GWG jersey and add quality. Dude has been so anonymous al this while but he is finally waking up. charlesemeka85: |

Oga the way you re making a case for him being loaned to a 3rd tier team insinuates that it's based on sentiment and pampering. Let's call a spade a spade, even Abdul ajagun that I'm not a fan of has better career progression compared to that of Nwakali who showed more promise in age grade football. For a young unpolished talented player out from Africa to any team in Europe the norm is starting him with the B side of the team where his adaptation and development will be monitored closely and if the player makes it to the first team of the club in half or 1 season interval that signifies that he is good. Nwakali so far have failed even when arsenal loaned him to to Holland where he was expected to blossom in a season or two judging by his enormous talent and performance at the U17 world cup but he disappointed when he was tried in the Dutch top flight. To make matters worst he flopped at Porto B team in the Portuguese 2nd tier which says it all. Players like Azeez and others never had the luxury he had to showcase his talent in Europe but got where they re today out of hardwork, endurance and determination. TheSuperNerd: |

Charles... then you simply misunderstand. Your lengthy post shows you just don't get a thing about what I have been talking about. I didn’t bother reading because you only getting emotional and hellbent on running K.Nwakali down. You refuse to see the point I am making even misunderstanding a factual statement on Azeez. So no need to go further. If we were discussing Azeez like this back in 2015 or 2016... you would also tag him a player who is not serious. charlesemeka85: |

My case is based on talent and career progression. Nwakali showed more promise than Azeez in youth team football and had the world at his feet with plethora of clubs jostling to sign him up after the world cup unlike Azeez who is less talented but got a chance to move to Spain, worked hard and was able to play in laliga after just a year or 2 leaving the shores of Africa. And for the umpteenth time no one is comparing career progression. Even Ajagun have had a better career than Kingsley Michael so far if Michael stops playing right this instant. We cannot compare guys who has been in it since 2009 and guys who just came unto the scene in 2015. Yes, Kelechi Nwakali had the world at his feet but sadly, he kicked the world away. He didn't make the best of it and has fallen down.. way down into the football lowsides but I say he has a chance to rise again and get that world back if he can be humble and work as hard as his mates like Osimhen has done and is still doing. Azeez less talented? Ramon Azeez was Bronze Ball Winner in 2009 U17 WC mind you. His talent was spotted that early even from the U-17s. I always rated the lad personally and saw him as Oliseh's heir. This is why I found his slow rise worrisome all these years but I am glad to see My Azeez back. charlesemeka85: |

When Arsenal signed Kelechi Nwakali three years ago, it was hoped that the midfielder could eventually go on to become an important player for the club. It certainly hasn’t worked out like that, with the Nigerian youth international, now aged 21, having left the club permanently to join Spanish second division side Huesca. Work permit problems were a major factor behind Nwakali being unable to make the breakthrough, but it also has to be taken into consideration that some of his loan spells were very disappointing, especially last season when he struggled to make any sort of impact for Porto’s B side. It is clear, though, that Nwakali possesses some quality at least, with his impressive technique and penchant for playing slick passes. Whether he can ever display those qualities on a consistent basis remains to be seen, but he is now ready to commence a new chapter of his career after enduring much frustration in recent years. During Nwakali’s initial loan spell, at MVV Maastricht, he showed some encouraging signs and it was expected that he could subsequently push on and take his game to the next level. At VVV-Venlo, though, Nwakali’s displays were frequently unconvincing, and he ended up returning to Maastricht. This summer Nwakali trained at London Colney but it seemed clear that he was waiting for a deal to materialise and Arsenal didn’t have any intention of giving him opportunities to impress, even at U23 level. Nwakali’s signing certainly made sense when he signed, coming off the back of him being crowned the player of the tournament as Nigeria won the U17 World Cup. It is a shame that what followed didn’t go to plan, but now Nwakali has an opportunity to show that he can still have a successful career elsewhere. |
