"My Kinsmen Are Killing My Snakes, It's Not Fair" - Igbo Man Cries Out!(Photos)

A Nigerian man from Igbo extraction, Justice Okoro, has cried out after his kinsmen allegedly killed his snakes, Igbere TV reports.

According to him, he is planning to move all his snakes from a community in Ebonyi State, Okposi to Izzi.

He revealed that he has lost 6 snakes in a space of one year.

He said : "I will move all my snakes from Okposi to Izzi this morning. I can't explain why my kinsmen choose to eliminate my snakes without provocation. I lost 6 snakes in a space of one year and that is not fair. This is wicked and heartless, we must learn how to respect nature and preserve our environment."

We don't kill this very species as they are classified to belong to the gods of the land.. The snake doesn't grow taller and they are also harmless

It happened to me too brother take heart.
I reared and protected pythons when I was in the village, village ppl said its Voodoo. That the snakes are what was making me wealthy. I traveled for the weekend only to come back and discover the where I housed them had been broken into and my beloved pets brutally massacred. E pain me no be small.
They said villagers should watch that I won't come back alive since they had killed my powers. I never practiced Voodoo, my faith always was in the Almighty, Jehovah the creator of heaven and earth, All Creatures Beautiful.
The problem is we still steeped in superstition, education and exposure could help liberate the blind.
I have since stopped rearing snakes.
