Coming to the issue of ignoring this lads until they hit stardom, I have made mention of that sometime ago stating that they should be snapped up and capped immediately they show promise but the issue is if the fans will welcome that. Many in this thread will castigated such move with excuses that foreign born players gets preferential treatment just because they were born abroad. Also I believe Rohr doesn't want to rush in getting a rookie who is just cutting his teeth in professional football after half a season of decent performances. Like i said earlier Eze will play for us in the future but on his on part he has to continue shunning out good performances for him to remain in the sight of our coaching crew and the football house Humility017: |

benji93:A decent career does not mean everything was rosy. He has had tough spots but overall, it has not been bad. Not everyone has to be a super eagles regular to have a decent career. Several players fall out of favour and bounce back. And Falling out of favor does not mean a coach dislikes a player. A player with over 120 appearances in the first and second divisions of Spain has had a decent career and yes we can objectively say that the second division of top countries is better than some top leagues in other countries. |

Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze has received a late call-up to England U21 team who are currently preparing for their 2021 UEFA European U21 Championship qualifiers against Turkey and Kosovo respectively. The youngster was first ignored by Aidy Boothroyd while unveiling his squad for the encounters but the manager was forced to extend an invitation to the midfielder due to injuries picked up by Arsenal youngster Joe Willock and Dwight McNeil. Eze made his debut for the European powerhouse against Italy U20 last year and he went on to feature in six more matches for the team. West Brom loanee Grady Diangana was also handed a late call-up to Aidy Boothroyd's team. Both players will hope to make a huge statement if given the chance to feature in the games scheduled to take place on Friday September 6, and Monday 9th respectively. This will come as a sad news to Super Eagles fans who have so much desire to see the youngster represent Nigeria in the nearest future |

Rohr Reveals Samuel Kalu Was Expected To Start For Super Eagles At AFCON Coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that Samuel Kalu was expected to start for the Super Eagles at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations but had issues with his health. The Bordeaux winger collapsed in training a day before the Super Eagles opener against Burundi and there had been suggestions that he suffered a heart attack but it was later debunked by the Nigerian Federation. It is believed that Rohr didn't want to take a gamble on Kalu even after he was cleared by medics to play in the tournament, with the winger making only one start against Madagascar but impressed in a cameo against Tunisia in the third place playoff. ''Yes, he was expected in the starting team, like Collins who was injured the same day, the day before the match,'' Rohr explained to Gold FM's Point. G. ''We had to replace these two boys at the last moment, at the last moment. And we still won our first two games of the Africa Cup of Nations, and we were still qualified, so ... Kalu was expected to start at the AFCON.'' With the exception of the game against Dijon, Kalu has gone the distance in all the matches played by Bordeaux in the Ligue 1 this season. **Igho Kingsley SOURCE: ANS

Courtesy: Score Nigeria. We've mentioned this lad here before many many pages ago. Los Angeles FC ace Philip Ejimadu stakes claim to end Super Eagles goalkeeping crisis The goalkeeper of Major League Soccer (MLS) club Los Angeles FC Philip Ejimadu could well be the solution to the problematic goalkeeping position rocking the Super Eagles going by his individual statistics. The 1.91m tall goalkeeper has the qualities needed by great goalkeepers. The 20-year-old goalkeeper was listed for eight games this season for Los Angeles FC before he was loaned out to FC Tucson, where he is a regular and has been picked for several players of the game award and best saves of the week many times. Ejimadu is blessed with superb reflexes and he controls his defence line with ease and authority. The Minneapolis, Minnesota-born goalkeeper started his career at Nacional in Brazil before he joined MLS side Los Angeles FC. Ejimadu was born in USA to Brazilian mother and a Nigerian father and was called by the USA U20 national team in 2018. The big 20-year-old goalkeeper should be looked at as the one to solve Nigeria goalkeeping crisis as USA are also known to produce great goalkeepers, from Brad Friedel to Tim Howard to Kasey Keller. *Another option who could come give Uzoho a push?

BascoVanVeli:It would be wisdom to have read my contribution properly before making a deduction. I used the term CONTRACT MUTUAL TERMS what do you think that means❓ Unless you have spoken to KC directly that's presumption. Do you think anybody will pay him £70k a week with his current form.

I beg to differ, "falling out of favour" effectively means you have become less likable due to any of a wide variety of reasons, so try to be more definite next time. wAS he out of form? Was his lack of regular playing time due to preference-not necessarily poor performance. These are more specific points. Over 120 appearances in how many years? perhaps i would rethink my stance if he started 120 times. Throughout his 8-year career at Almeria and Lugo, he only played in the spanish top flight twice: 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 seasons. In the 2013/2014 season Almeria finished 17th and were relegated in the following season. Do you call that decent? Mikel Obi had a decent career(top-end decent). And your argument that second division teams in top european countries are better than other european countries is not entirely correct, it's not an air-tight fact. 2nd division teams from top european countries don't compete against first division teams from other european countries. The only bases for such an assertion is that the first division teams in top european countries are better than other european countries. The fact that the aforementioned statement is true doesn't mean that 2nd tier teams of top european countries are generally better than top tier teams of other european countries. It's largely deductive, and it's objectivity can be be disputed. Moroever for most of the time Almeria competed in the segunda division at least while Azeez played for them they were lowly ranked, even finishing as low as 18th in 2015/2016 season. I am afraid i stick with average, and that's quite lenient. tbaba1234: |

Humility017:I actually do not blame him. In reality which club in the French league will pay him £70K a week. He will being optimistic lucky to £25K a week, considering his current form. He will be taking a MASSIVE PAY CUT. |

TheGoodJoe:There is no top level Championship club that will take a player who has scored 4 goals in two seasons in the EPL. The Championship is very physical and KC doesn't have that within his repertoire of attributes. Or which teams do you suggest will take him in the Championship. |
