jihday:There will be no tournament to play if you do not qualify. He wasted the slots fof foreign based players. What is a third division player from Portugal doing in the team. |

junnyjake:Maja plays for Bordeaux. He is not mediocre. Plus he is actually 19 |

jihday:You realise that Sudan has a stronger local league than NPFL. His selection of reinforcements is weak. If you want a blend of local and foreign based, at least select those that can really improve the team. |

jihday:For the African tournament, he will have to depend mostly on local players. If the player is stuck in the third division of portugal, he is probably not that good. |

Playing in the toulon tournament with the English u20 didn't tie him? After the release of the list for the Ukraine game Rohr made mention that he has his eyes on some English born talents who re playing in the championship but their case is different because they have been capped by England and needs time to for their clearance. I believe he was referring to Eze and ejaria tbaba1234: |

charlesemeka85:You can only be tied by an official tournament. He is not tied now. |

Hmmmm I doubt this but not 100% sure. What about the case of Iwobi and Aina? tbaba1234: |

charlesemeka85:Toulon is a friendly tournament. Aina played UEFA under 19 qualifiers. You are not disqualified by friendly games. |

tbaba1234:He hasn't done anything spectacular either and if not because of his English background, we wouldn't have him with the senior team. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody: 10:39pm On Sep 03, 2019 |
junnyjake:It has nothing to do with his English background. His affliation with Bordeaux is the reason. Rohr is a Bordeaux legend. Eze, Ejaria etc all have English backgrounds. |

junnyjake:Yea but i think it is ok to get him committed and maybe moved to the under 23 till he is ready. He is 19 so he has time. |

komekn:Story. Is Daniel James physical? Did he not flourish in the Championship? Continue arguing what you do not know. Nacho has an impeccable history. His Preseason showed the fire is still there. Given a run in a fluid offensive system, he will flourish. All Nacho needs is the right amount of games in the right system and he will not fail. Talking like if all the teams in the Championship are mechanics. Norwich and Sheffield are playing okay without being physical and these are teams that did well in the championship. |

Is the toulon tournament not counted as an international tournament? Even if one play for the u21 of any country he can still switch to another country he has ties with but unturnable when you debut in a competitive game at senior level. If Eze featured in friendly with the English u20 team he wouldnt have needed to be cleared to play for us but I think with an appearance in the toulon tournmament with the English team he needs to be cleared bfor switching to us elyte89: |

edi287: Does not mean the clause is not in the contract. Anyone buying Iheanacho now must put that into consideration. I doubt you can cancel the clause by tearing the contract. |

TheGoodJoe:The clause is there incase City want him back. City clearly don't need him so it doesn't matter. They'll pass up on the opportunity when it comes. |

jihday:Like our teams on the continent are eating other teams for breakfast ![]() Look at the invitation by Ivory Coast and Morocco. They invited some of their best players. We are using a manage manage team when we have far better players at this level. |

edi287: You are missing it. Anyone wanting to sign Nacho will be signing to take over the contract. The person must agree that if City wants him back they will sign him for 50m. Whether City wants him back or not is not the problem. The problem is that the club must accept that clause. |

Nobody has claimed here that he can not turn things around eventually . We are just assessing him so far. benji93: |

TheGoodJoe:Nah. City can pass up on it. They practically have first refusal only with a fixed price tag. Think Cesc Fabregas with Arsenal when he wanted to leave Barca or Eto with Madrid when he wanted to sign for Barca. Leicester will alert City and ask if they want to activate the buy back clause. If they say no, Leicester will sell to another team and that will be the end of it. Don't confuse sell on clause with buy back clause. I don't think City have a sell on clause. |

All they need to do is loan him to a Liga club for a couple years and they will cash out eventually big time komekn: |
