Of Ukraine Friendly Ahead of Nigeria’s international friendly tie against Ukraine in Dnipro on September 10, Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has issued a stern warning to the players that lateness to training camp won’t be tolerated any longer. The game will be the first match the team will be playing after winning the third-place match against Tunisia at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. Rohr told Soccernet.ng that the invited foreign-based players are expected to join the camp in Ukraine. He also revealed that lateness to camp won’t be tolerated if the team must create some level of understanding ahead of the September 10 friendly tie in Dnipro. “We are really ready to receive some of the invited players to camp because this is the first time we will be playing together after the 209 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. ADVERTISEMENT “Ukraine is a very good team and I don’t think we will approach the game in a friendly manner but like a cup game. I see every game like a true competition and I want the players to also think the same way. “We want to win because that’s our priority for the Ukraine clash. The players we have invited are also aware that they need to arrive to camp early in order to create understanding amongst all the players. “This is a game we must approach with all seriousness and I am sure the players will not disappoint. |

TheGoodJoe:I am completely lost by your train of thought, it seems you are attempting to make some sort of comparison of circumstances. And then from that comparison deduce double standard and bigotry on my part with regards to Dominic Iorfa. There is no similarity in this comparison and as such it fails. Footballers are judged on performance on the field of play predominantly current and the past can be used as an indicative indices but very far from conclusive. The issue is KC inability to perform, if you ask me, l would say that Leicester have been very patient albeit they have no choice. They are not a rich club and will have to painfully watch thier £25 million investment diminish in value day by day. After all the opportunities given for him to show his quality and resurrect thier huge investment. Many moons ago l said that the true test of the Quality of KC is when he leaves the support and comfort of having world class players around him he had at City. That time has come and now gone. Judgment has been passed he does not even merit a call to the SE currently. |

komekn:The problem is that due to your bias, you pretend as if you do not know the dynamics of football or Nacho's time at Leicester City. Even some Leicester City fans have pointed out that Nacho has not had enough runs to pick momentum. You only say he has not performed. Most of the minutes he got were less than 10 minutes. So you write here saying enough opportunities shows not myopia but definite bias to ridicule a player to satisfy your hatred. When it comes to a player like Iorfa, you are ready to scream to the high heavens about factors affecting him. Enjoy fueling your hatred. |

andrew444:I really do not blame you. Your senses of value is so superficial that you can't look at matters with any depth or substance. My approach is objective not emotive sentiment based. You then go on to mention Solanke who l knew from day one that he would never play for Nigeria. l have never recommended him but somehow you bring him into the equation. WHY ❓ I have said upteen times that l attend a lot of youth games and senior games in England across all leagues. I can also say l have scouted players for EPL clubs as well. I have a far better knowledge of the administration and practice of football in the UK and Europe in general. As a consequence l leave talk Of Nigerian players for BascoVanVeli and Icon, they know and understand a lot more about that than me. I have a whole engagement with players at all levels coaches recruiters and some managers. The consequences of that is l find it difficult to talk about what I don't know. Therfore l will talk about players in England some l have known since they were 15/16 even younger. I wil rarely talk about Nigerian players coming from Nigeria with a sense of authority. However, l can appraise thier suitability for the game in the UK. For instance l said many many moons ago that Sadiq Umar would not survive league one football. That's doesn't mean he is a bad player just not the kind of players that can thrive in those leagues. Well history proves me right on this occasion. |

komekn:A true test is when a player is given a run of games. As a football man that you claim to be, you should know that basic concept. Shouting here you said does not add up because Nacho has not been given a true test at Leicester City. But, due to your hatred and bias, you have chosen to stay oblivious to the truth. |

charlesemeka85:I probably have a better claim to that. But l notice nobody is making a comedy about the fact l started talking about Ovie years ago. As it stands he is now ahead of Tega Onomah who has not been impressive in a team l expected him to excel in Fulham. Admittedly it's early days l still expected more. |

kennysville:It's often said if a man who lacks wisdom keeps quite he may be assumed to be wise. You opened your mouth to spew forth irreverent nonsense. It seems you don't understand the meaning of prejudice. If the subject that underpins your deduction is KC, then it means my comments regarding him are not objective based. So l challenge you to show where l have been sentiment and emotive led and not substantive where KC is concerned that would imply l have been telling LIES as well. So show one post to back up your nonsensical proposition and or show where l have said one lie about KC. You must understand that your self birthed perceptions do not constitute facts. What you perceive is not my responsibility. |

Chukwueze was actually being targeted as a potential replacement for Shaqiri during the transfer window...but Shaqiri is still.here.. Chukwueze is very much a Klopp kind of player... a little polishing here and there is what he needs.. |

charlesemeka85:Look Ejaria is not feeble he is deceptively strong he is just not heavy. Very Mobil Athletic, a good turn of pace with skill and passing range. He was outstanding in Rangers last season and then went to Reading as well. He has hit the ground running this season. Although he is only 21 he has fairly decent good run of games in the Championship and Scottish premier league. He is getting consistency he is 21 it's not just promise this is his third season of first team football. Although l would have liked him to have played more games by now, 50 league games is not that impressive. |

gamaliel9:Your proposition for selection simply lacks merit. The question I would ask you is there any of our players that can make the England team ❓ The only possible player and it's not a definite is Ndidi. So if England does not want our players that means they are below average and nit good enough for the SE. Chei see reasoning, l don't know what they gave you to drink or which beer parlour I deh drink But l don't see anybody else. As for quality our best Midfielder in the SE IMO at the last AFCON was Etebo. Etebo plays in the same league as Eze and Ovie. He is yet to achieve the same accolades and statistics they have achieved. So if they are below average and need to be tested at U23 and U21 by the NFF. Should we them demote Etebo as an over age players. Because he is not actually doing better than these two players. Considering that Ebere is already being courted by EPL clubs and Ovie is already a Liverpool player. Meanwhile my guy Etebo is just there. Therefore this your proposition is nonsensical in the extreme it has no iota of substance. It's essentially Balderdash. |
