And we the lack of good wingers and creative midfielders can our team penetrate them if they decide to sit deep through out the encounter?
TheSuperNerd:
But na true I talk naa... abi do you see Sudan escaping a hammering here?

We just need 2-0 as I don't see them scoring.

Hopefully, no mistakes at home.

Osimhen should have been in that match. Rohr missed a chance to keep him hungry.

I also suggest Yahaya because if Faleye can make the team then what are we saying.

We must always learn to present our best team. We are taking risks by throwing away the first leg.

See ehn.... if it is the same wingers we played today, then we don peme be that. But I believe changes will come. Remember Libya sat deep too but we crushed them. We broke thru their walls and scored 4. But again that is because we had Bonaventure, Okereke, K.Nwakali, Osimhen, Awaziem, Ozornwafor and Chukwueze in that team.

This team just need to beef up a few areas before the 10th abeg. Bring in a couple more quality players. Nna eh... Imama better just win.

Libya are white and finds it difficult to play and sustain pressure under hot sun unlike the Sudanese who re accustomed to hot climatic condition. Also the influx of more quality players gave us the edge unlike what the coach will have in his possession during the return leg with sudan

Mehn forget. I will play that boy on the wings or throw him at that AMF where he truly belongs. Porto b is credible and I don't think there would be a sound if he is invited. We can't just accept that one of the best creative talents to come out of our youth team is now a defender.

Why do you feel it was our birth right to beat Sudan at home? We could have had all the players you wanted and still lose because this team have barely been together and Sudan will never simply roll over at home. The fans also count

Imama made the team selection, he selected players when there were better options available. We will have to do another rescue mission in Nigeria
he selects the team is one thing, he decides the formation is another , players inplementing it, is also another,
then pitch is alltogather an entirely another thing
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:30pm On Sep 05, 2019
I think we are still good to go with Awoniyi and Odey upfront. What we need do is add quality on the wings... why not bring in Chidera Ejuke? Ehn Imama!!! You blind ni?! Also uhmmm... Onyeka Frank should come into the midfield alongside Azubuike. The defence picks itself and hopefully two or three more quality additions and we are good to go.

Sudan will be tough to break down but a goal in the first half will unsettle them.

Bros mk we hear word abeg. Person wey be right back for Porto B not only that he doesn't feature regularly na wey u go carry position as the teams attacking midfielder? U no even mention chidera Ejike who hv been playing consisntely in the eirdevisie as a winger n also featured as once as a number 10 in this season

If you put your best foot forward and lose then you know, you did your best. However, if you are starting Ndifreke and Faleye, you can not tell me you put your best foot forward.

When we added more quality against Libya, the difference was clear even though they had not played with the team

Please now you are being comical and exposing yourself for public ridicule.

Football is a short term career and the EPL is very competitive time is a very scarce commodity.

51 games and now third season and you are saying he needs a TRUE TEST. It's like saying you need to test drive a car for three years before you know how good it is.

You can not tag few minutes a game as a true test. That is a lie.

Awoniyi and Odey have had very few minutes this season. Odey has played only 29 mins in Genk's 6 games this season. Awoniyi has also only played 29 minutes.

Faleye and Collins are not good enough levels.

Frank Onyeka and Azubuike are the only invited players playing regularly. And Imama left Onyeka on the bench

Parlour urges Abraham to stay with England

TalkSport pundit Ray Parlour feels Tammy Abraham should commit his international future to England amid attempts by Nigeria to lure the Chelsea striker away from the Three Lions.

The 21-year-old has represented England at various youth levels and earned two senior caps for his country in 2017. However, neither was a competitive international game, raising the possibility he could still play for Nigeria, the homeland of his father.

While Abraham was not called up by head coach Gareth Southgate for England’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo, Parlour has urged the youngster to stay patient.

‘If he keeps scoring goals, he will definitely get into the England squad,’ said the former Arsenal midfielder.

‘Jamie Vardy has retired and they’re lacking a little bit up front. He’s got an opportunity to be in the squad, but obviously he won’t be in front of Harry Kane.”

‘Once you start with a country as a youngster, I think you should stick with them,” Parlour added.

‘It’s up to the player; he’s looking at whether he’ll get an opportunity. It’s a battle, because there are a lot of good players at England, and you’ll get a lot more caps if you go elsewhere.

‘As a manager, you’d be on the phone straight away saying, “You’re in my plans, keep playing as you are, and you’ll get an opportunity”. That’s what I’d be doing if I was Gareth Southgate.

Una no see my u23 list? I get 7 head?

charlesemeka85:
Na em be the problem. Imagine when a player like chidera Ejike would have been invited instead of players from the Austrian 2nd tier and Portuguese 3rd tier.

From the little I saw in the match the midfield and flanks weren't working with only azubuike trying to make an impact from the middle. I don't blame awoniyi because a striker can't deliver when he is starved of the ball.

I hope they correct the mistake in the 2nd leg

Liverpool remain interested in Villarreal star Samuel Chukwueze.

Goal says his form with the La Liga club and Nigeria has impressed a handful of top clubs across Europe who have jetted in scouts and Liverpool are one of the clubs alerted by his progress.

At just 20 years old Chukwueze is already one of the hottest prospects in European football.

The Villarreal frontman has taken inspiration from Arjen Robben as he continues his development, who throughout his career built a reputation for cutting in from the right and shooting with his left with devastating effect.
