tbaba1234:what do you expect from an indigenous coach with NPFL background.... they have the mentality of always loosing away matches....the nature of the NPFL have so much rub on them psychologically and they don't know it.... |

SE HOPEFULS BEST XI (ROUND 4) CENTER-FORWARD David Okereke returns to our line-up by virtue of his goals tally all season long. However, his return to the league of SE Hopefuls is not connected to his recent performance on the pitch, but due to Tammy Abraham's shutting down interests from Nigeria until future notice. After firing another brace for Chelsea, it seemed Tammy's place in the team this week was guaranteed, but not until his latest utterances which made him sound rather like a Three-Lions Hopeful. ADVANCED MIDFIELD Our line up is unchanged, considering there have been no solid threats to Ebere Eze, Sheyi Ojo and Abdul Ajagun all season. Nevertheless, a few other SE hopefuls can make the team subsequently if they put in more work to improve their season stats. One worthy mention is Ibrahim Rabiu whose assist was instrumental to Slovan Bratislava knocking out Esiti's PAOK in Europa League Qualification. Rabiu can make a push for a return to the Super Eagles if he can help his side surmount three mountains in their Europa League group -- Braga, Wolves, and Besiktas. CENTER/DEFENSIVE MIDFIELD We have only one change in this department. Ramon Azeez takes over from Kingsley Michael who missed out from Bologna's match-day squad after a loan move to Serie B side, Cremonese. Azeez, came off the bench to complete Granada's 3-0 trouncing of away side Espanyol. Although he has been used as a CM this current season, he was deployed as an AM, RB and DM as well by Almeria last season. The former Golden Eaglets midfielder have only managed to play 54 minutes after 3 rounds of matches this season, but has never fell with Granada as he was not fielded in their only loss to Sevilla. Azeez will have to maintain his fine form to avoid being upstaged by Obiora Nwankwo. The latter has played as a DM for 360 minutes in all competition this season for Boavista, and have been unintentionally ignored in our previous SE Hopefuls Best XIs. Ovie Ejaria keeps his spot in CM. He is the highest rated player overall (WhoScored 7.70 Rating) in the Championship for the month of August and so far this season. Also, worthy of mention in CM is Midtjyland's Frank Onyeka, who has been in the thick of action for the Danish SuperLigaen table toppers, leading them to 7 wins and 1 draw out of 8 in the current season FULLBACKS Felix Agu has been one of Osnabrueck's most outstanding players this season and has been featured mostly as a RWB. But he retains his position on LB a position he has played once this season. Fellow German-based full back, Kingsley Ehibueze keeps his position in RB after he added 45 mins to his tally in FC Colgone's 2-1 win at Freiburg. CENTER-BACK Ike Opara keeps his place, and is closely chased by Felix Uduokhai, who made his Augsburg debut during the weekend. Also, Fikayo Tomori holds down the CB spot for the third consecutive week, as the NFF have started to make moves to get the junior English international to dump England. NFF Chairman, Amaju Pinnick watched from the stands as Tomori made his full EPL debut for Chelsea over the weekend in their draw to visiting Sheffield United. GK. Austin Ejide could not prevent Hapoel Hadera from going down as he let the ball past him 3 times in their away loss to Beer Sheva. Taking his place, 20 year old Phillip Ejimadu is rewarded for not only making Los Angeles FC's bench 8 times in the MLS, but also for being one of the top Goal Keepers in the American 3rd-tier in terms of shut-outs posted. With the introduction of Ejimadu, let the discussion begin. Who among SE's current keepers will make LA FC's bench? Maybe only Uzoho. Consequently, he deserves a look in ASAP as he has declared to play for Nigeria.

elyte89:Don't forget, against Libya, we had to luxury of adding Chukwueze, Osimhen, Awaziem, Ozornwafor and Uzoho to the team. That significantly improved the quality of the side. We might not have that luxury again. Super Eagles players will be in Ukraine. We should win but if we concede 1. The team that played today might struggle to score 3. |

Style Of Play "For us, at this Club and LAFC, we need a goalkeeper that's able to play out of the back and be comfortable in situations when you're under pressure but also recognizes that our team is going to push high and we are going to leave ourselves exposed at times. So we need someone who's got that ability to make a play and make a save." - Tyler Miller Newcomers "Every goalkeeper has their own personality. For me, my personality is being aggressive and commanding the team." - Phillip Ejimadu To start 2019, LAFC brought in two newcomers to its goalkeeping corps. Phillip Ejimadu and Pablo Sisniega come to LA with two very different backgrounds and styles. Ejimadu is a raw talent at just 19. He has a commanding presence in goal and arrives at LAFC having spent the last five years in Brazil. His reflexes and ability to close down opponents in 1v1 situations have been his strengths. While he'll admit learning to play with his feet as much as LAFC requires is the steepest learning curve he is facing. --LAFC |

Presenting your best.. That we all know but it is what it is. First leg is gone and I believe the Asaba tie will be different. If Awo and Odey can get a few more chances and be clinical, then the Sudanese will be in serious trouble. The Sudanese I watched are not spectacular in anyway. Nothing special and they will be playing us on a better pitch now. Our football will be different I believe but also with the right selections. Joebie: |

And truth is even if we wanted them for the U-23s on the 10th, I don't know if Rohr will release Chuks, Awaizem, Uzoho and Osimhen. Both teams play same day. The best Imama would have gotten would be Ozornwafor, Chidera Ejuke, Hillary Gong, plus some more but well... he's made his selections and I just choose to believe we will turn things around in the 2nd leg. I hope the midfield combo of Frank Onyeka and Azubuike Okechukwu be picked... and the picked wingers perform and feed Odey and Awo enough to finish off the Sudanese. tbaba1234: |

Honestly I'm still in confusion as to why he didn't call up Okereke whom he had called up before. I can understand that of Bona only because he was later invited to the Senior NT. But if he wasn't nko... that means he too may be left out. I hope the likes of Orji, Kingsley Michael and Ozornwafor can still come in or perhaps Imama is done inviting. Chidera Ejuke would have been an exciting addition to this side. Well.. I hope for the best. tbaba1234: |

BascoVanVeli:Bonaventure for instance was definitely available as he was just called up by the super eagles.. What about Okereke? This is 100% not the best team available. |

TheSuperNerd:If Bonaventure was invited initially, Rohr would have called up someone else. Even Tosin Kehinde is better than Faleye. |

tbaba1234:you're wasting your time... this indigenous coaches.... don't mind sacrifice their glorious careers for few dollar notes, sentiments or whatever you name it.... they'll never change..... just imagine the call ups... would it had been bad if he call up Eze and other foreign born eligible for us? |

BascoVanVeli:the problem I av with you...is your inability to call a spade a spade.... it is obvious only God knows the rationale used by the Imama in players selection... tomorrow when he is booted out he will quickly resolve to the maltreatment being melted on indigenous coaches.... the man has nothing to offer the national team |

Exactly. But Bona didn't make the list of initial foreign based invites. Anyway... na so we see am. Still hoping to get past Sudan. The team on ground still have decent quality to deliver. It is all about the Coach choosing right. tbaba1234: |
