safarigirl: Even Wastemen have levels. You cannot field all the wastemen, or invite them all, some are obviously better than others.
See now, Iheanacho, who is yet to feature in any game this season, has been invited for the Ukraine friendly, we can't have Isaac Success on the list too. Iheanacho is Batshuayi this FIFA Window Agreed without any reservations. |

edi287: Michy has mostly performed whenever he's been out on loan. He scored 5 goals in 11 matches at Palace last season. The only loan spell he didn't do well at was Valencia. Nacho has been getting chances and he has yet to take it. You guys honestly think Leicester bought him for 25m just so he could be mistreated? I'm not saying anybody is mistreating him, all I'm saying is that Iheanacho's talent couldn't just have disappeared like that. He needs the national team's support at least. |

Yea against San Marino the team on the last place of FIFA ranking Hanibal: Off topic. Michy Batshuayi hasn't kicked a ball for Chelsea this season, infact he has managed to make the bench just once in 4 games this season, yet he played 90mins for Belgium today, Belgium o, world number 1 fa !Dries mertens and Romelu lukaku were on the bench, he scored 2goals. If Batshuayi was Nigerian with his travails at Chelsea, some people would have tagged him "wasteman" "unproven", 2goals in three seasons striker etc etc. They will tag the National team coach that invited him the most corrupt in the world. My point is... Sometimes, a lot of things can contribute to a player not making match day squads in a foreign country, it's not always down to quality or lack of it. It might be as simple as the manager just not liking the way the club's jersey looks on you! (Guardiola comes to mind) The support of the national team can go a long way in giving some confidence, especially for players who had once been main stays in the team. Cc :Iheanacho I watched him in his u17 days, his man city days under pellegrini even under Guardiola, his Leicester days under Ranieri.... His early days in the GWG, all that talent cannot just "vamooze" like that, No! I really pity the young man and other brilliant guys like him: Isaac success, Nwakali Junior... I hope Rohr starts him against Ukraine. Please I'm not looking for a debate, I must warn that I'm really lazy at typing. |

Icon4s: That is why me i always believe in using your best possible players for any crutial game you play.
Why omit Okereke and Orji in the first place only to lose the first leg and start running to invite them late. Once again just like Libya they under-rated Sudan.
When the boys lost 1-0 I was not surprised because we didn't filed our real U23 superstars most of who are in the SE camp. If Rohr is not aware this Olympics qualifiers is more important than that Ukrainian friendly! The future of the SE always lies in Olympics team. There is no way Sudan would have beaten Nigeria if players like Kalu, Osimhen, Onyekuru, Chukwueze and Awaziem played the game. With these five players not on the U23 list Imama still omitted David Okereke!
I just hope the players already in the U23 camp are good enough to overturn the deficit. I don't understand y u guys re pressing panic button over dt inter house sport school team called Sudan, dem no sabi play shi ahi,our boiz could av won d match from first half missed chances coupled with d bad pitch, dt slowed down deir style.of play,d team invited is gud enuf to beat those boys |

Bro the competition for places upfront is tight! We have so many up and coming strikers so we can't afford to give Nacho the time you're talking about. I know you'll point to Musa but his competition was mainly an inexperienced Onyekuru and Iwobi when he played on the left. Musa went on loan and regained confidence then took his chance at the WC. Nacho is young but he needs to sit up. The likes of Osimhen, Okereke, Awoniyi, etc won't wait for him to regain form because he was a golden boot winner at U17 level. |

Ok I could't watch the full match but from what I saw the team played well enough and I am sure we will go through on Tuesday although we have to be very careful.
Osimhen and Samu should have been on this team, at least to revenge their exit during the U20s. |

Why is ANS the only site reporting bias against the FBs at the ongoing U-17 camp?. Could their claims be true or they have an axe to grind with the Manu Garba-led crew?
Just an observation. |

Very brilliant addition and adds to the point I try to point out that being on bench does not mean the player lacks quality. Either way, couple with starting Nacho, Rohr needs to man up and allow the team play in a far more offensive fashion. We have the firepower to wreck a lot of teams and grow into a terrorising formidable force.
Thank you. |

Hanibal: Errr... I'm of the opinion that we should learn something from the fact that Batshuayi even made a Belgian 23 man squad FIFA number one country fa. Maybe we should start organising friendlies with sao tome and principe and them Gilbraltar, Comoros ... Just so we can also boost our " wastemen" too(I do not agree with the tag though) maybe reserve one or two spots for them in the squad for qualifiers too. After all if Belgium fit do am, who we be? Not forgetting that our supposed superstars lost to Madagascar, goin by Safari's logic |

Na the one wey una go see talk but will ignore u23 coach who drafted a rb udifreke to the midfield at the expense of frank onyeka who is a natural midfielder against Sudan few days ago. Okoye's invite to the super eagles is to see what he can offer not he will automatically be drafted as the teams number 1. As it stands now uzoho is Rohr's number 1 at the moment with ezenwa the 2nd choice. Una no go make noise on issues wey need such attention and reactions TheGoodJoe: NigeriaFootball360 @okparaonline
