Every order has a tracking number. If it's termed untrackable you no longer get updates when it leaves China and usually take longer delivery times maybe due to multiple stoppages before it gets to the destination/delivery point. Even our Post Office guys know it's different from tracked shipping and don't give it priority.

Not all paid shipping is trackable & not all free shipping is untrackable cheesy Depends on the store & seller.
Some smart sellers already integrate the shipping cost into the product cost and therefore may declare their items free shipping.
Under shipping methods each method is categorically stated whether trackable or not

Thanks sir

There's a lot of Relevant background info to be considered here, including the way China works when it comes to Internet use and censorship.
The government monitors its citizens and the it has control over private Companies so it's not difficult to understand where those feelings emanated from. For all you know, those people were only able to chat with you cos they had access to a vpn

It's also true that companies mine data but some are worse than others. Google and Facebook are very concerning in my book and I try to restrict them as much as I can. I can't remember the last time I did a Google search or used chrome. These are small measures but it is something... I think

Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc, etc in fact all the tech companies in the world have gone beserk when it comes to end user data.
The Western companies mine data mainly to have competitive advantage.
Just as you suggested, the Chinese companies mine data not only for competitive advantage but also because of pressure from the State (political reasons).

The continent that seems to be doing well in terms of privacy is Europe (GDPR stuff). The tech giants have had to adapt their software and devices to comply with EU laws.
Google, Microsoft, etc have had some tough times with Europe in recent times.
Chinese phone makers on the other hand have had to produce separate ROMs specifically for EU so that they are in compliance.

We Africans don't care. We just want cheap devices with excellent specs. grin

I have gone through this forum and I observed that a lot of people know how to tweak their phone to have good battery. I am using redmi note 4x currently but I don't really like the battery drainage. I will be glad if anyone can put me through on how to get a good battery life in redmi note 4x....

I already ordered mi 9t....

I want to learn so I can enjoy the Xiaomi gang.
Thanks

Lol. Meshachmartins have posted a photo of the so called triple camera phone.

In other words, if you see devices with unbelievable specs for cheaper prices like that, you should have reservations about it.

Them plenty for Jumia.
