Why the late invite for Okereke and Orji? Bonaventure, Olowu, Ejuke, and Kingsley Michael could also have been part of the team.

The issue is not even the loss as much as the fact that the man had better players available but refused to invite them.
I think you are overflogging the issue, the guy has refused to see reason

Leave him

U23 AFCON Final round Qualifiers 2nd leg Update

Nigeria U23 striker Odey predicts 3-0 win over Sudan

https://scorenigeria.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/odey-nigeria-u23-training-1140.jpg

Belgium-based striker Stephen Odey has predicted a 3-0 win over Sudan on Tuesday for Nigeria to go through to the U23 AFCON in Egypt.

On Thursday, Sudan pipped Nigeria 1-0 at home, but the Genk new signing has told SCORENigeria they will be gunning for a big win in Asaba on Tuesday to advance to the U23 AFCON, which will also serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“We just have to make use of our chances,” he declared after the team’s first training today in Asaba.

“We lost 1-0 in Sudan and it is now an opportunity for us to redeem ourselves in the eyes of Nigerians by winning with a good goal margin like 3-0 and above,we need to utilise our chances.”

The former MFM FC star striker, who has also been capped by the CHAN Eagles, will most likely lead the attack on Tuesday after he also started the game in Sudan.

Kelechi Nwakali is the only new player drafted for the return leg after coach Imama Amapakabo failed to secure the release of Club Brugge striker David Okereke and winger Orji Okwonkwo, who plays for Montreal Impact in the MLS.

Iheanacho misses flight to Ukraine for Super Eagles friendly

https://scorenigeria.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/iheanacho-eagles-action-green-1140.jpg

Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho was the last player to join the Super Eagles in Ukraine for tomorrow’s friendly after he missed his outward bound flight.

Eagles top official Patrick Pascal disclosed that Iheanacho was the last player to join up in Dnipro after he failed to catch his flight from England.

Iheanacho was dropped for the recent AFCON in Egypt.

Tomorrow’s game will give several players like Joe Aribo, Emmanuel Dennis, Joshua Maja and Maduka Okoye to make their Eagles debut.

Udinese defender William Ekong is expected to lead out the team in the absence of captain Ahmed Musa, who pulled out of the match due to injury.

Kick-off time tomorrow is 6.30pm in Nigeria.

This a player many on here have said is better than many of the players laying in Europe.

How can someone a regular for the SE playing in obscure Israel, now drop to Indian league (if that's true) that is telling us something about his quality. Even with the SE he has not been able to progress his career upwards.

Nwakali on missing the last match

Well, it’s unfortunate that I couldn’t make the first leg even though I spoke to the coach, he called and asked if I can make it, but I told him that I need to sort out myself because I believe after the U23 match, I will need to go back to my club and if I don’t sort out myself and play for the U23, what am I falling back on? That’s why I couldn’t make the first leg in Sudan.

Like I said we don't know the exact reasons why these players are not there.

Yes that is simply because the best are with the super eagles. Once we go away from that the rest is subject to how the coach feels. Those players are not poor and saying so shows bias and lack of football knowledge. A 1-0 loss is not as bad as this thread is making it out to be.
