The last time this question was asked, a responder answered 2. One for the husband and the other for the wife.

My mantra has always been "2 is the perfect number because 3 is a crowd and 4 is a battalion". Furthermore, I believe the first child should be after the first two years of marriage and not the present phenomenon of "marry today, born tomorrow" .

Hubby and I have just 1 and we've been married for 12years.

Its driving my mother in law crazy but its our choice.

Every time our pastor calls for people looking for the fruit of the womb to come to the altar, people find it surprising that I don't budge from my sit.

In Nigeria, most people think a fulfilled life is getting married and breeding like rabbit, which is a poor school of thought. That's one of the major reasons why we are tagged a third world country.

I believe pursuing your hobbies and ambition should give you more fulfilment than having more kids than you can afford to.

Hubby and I love having vacations at least twice a year which is very expensive, we can't give up that goal by having lots of kids. At the end of the day we become bitter, old and miserable...wishing we had enjoyed life when we were younger.

By the way when your kids turn into adults and start living their own lives, you feel empty and lonely. Most old individuals do not admit this but its true.

Life is too short , live a life of maximum quality
