Kog45:Rohr didn't invite Zuby because of the U23s qualifiers. I think we will be seeing him with SE sooner than later. |

edi287:Nah, Iwobi was imperious in that AM role. It is a waste, sticking him on the left. Kalu was very good on the left while he was on. I think Etebo holds on to the ball more than Aribo. Who will play AM in your midfield 3? I think Ndidi is critical to protect the defense. |

tbaba1234:It'll be a typical 4-3-3 with 2 CMs and no 10s. Aribo and Etebo can take turns on who attacks. Both have crazy stamina. It's something we should try out especially in tough away games at AfCON/WC qualifiers. |

edi287:Hmm, the way we played on the counter today is good for away games. Etebo is not an AM. Aribo is not an AM. Creativity will be affected. My midfield will be Ndidi, Aribo and Iwobi. Ndidi will play in a similar way as leicester instead of the double pivot. I love the fact that Aribo gets into the box and can get goals. If we have to defend, Etebo can replace Aribo. |

yes, like-for-like subs. Most of them should have played. The first half gave us a snapshot of what our starting 11 can do. The players needed to return to their clubs without being overworked. We are still in the process of testing players. Of what good is it that most in the bench didn't play? It's not like I'm expecting Rohr to improve tactically over 90 mins. He is not going to learn any new tricks at his age. He needs a tactically sound coach to assist him. Sportilitica: |

Aribo gives you goals. Already 4 goals for Rangers. 1 for Nigeria. Ndidi and Etebo contribute no goals. Aribo has to start. |

Who else thinks we can play a 4-3-3 false 9 effectively. Furthermore I must commend the Ukrainians for their passes. A more clinical team would have converted those chances. We need to work on our defence and communication |

TheGoodJoe:The two bolded have two different meanings bro. "What he lacks in power" simply implies he wasn't powerful. "where he was short in power" in other words "when found wanting", in that context, simply means he was powerful but whenever he SLIPS UP... Emeka was right, u should have used the second bolded in ur earlier post bkus it is what best suits ur narrative. |

tbaba1234:Had it been it was zuby dt replaced iwobi...am sure d Ukrainians won't equalize...d guy has dis ability to retain ball and calm d nerves of existing pressure; leading to dictating d rhythm, wc I felt aribo shld av done in absence of iwobi when he was removed, but in d second half aribo was quiet.am not saying zubby is a better AM,but he has dis "calmness" in his game,wc I av noticed a very long time, with d ability to pass d ball both in long and close ranges Like tbaba rightly said...another AM shld b searched for and tried..let d coaches work on dt..and for Collins,we don't av to discard him,am sure once ebuehi is back into d folds, he would give him dt fight ![]() |

ChrisKels:Uzoho was brilliant, made nice saves. Was brilliant in dealing with free kicks and deserves to be in a bigger club than where he currently is. He did very well. |

ChrisKels:I used the second term to clarify. What he lacks in power, shows the power was there but lacked in some places in power play. Not the total absence of power but lacking in some area of power. So he showed strength and power but lacked in power some areas. Thus, making up with pace and hardwork. |

I think Ndidi is better on bench and should be brought on when we need to defend. Ndidi's poor passing going forward is a draw back on our fluidity. TheSuperNerd: |

edi287:onyekuru or ihenancho. If Kalu, chukuwueze and 1 or 2 other wingers can be clinical enough, we can play like Liverpool. However we will need a ball playing defender like van Dijk and our midfield must be solid. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by edi287: 7:30am On Sep 11, 2019 |
cromz:I agree but Nacho's link up play isn't that great. I'd like to see Musa - Nacho/Onyekuru - Samu tried out. In other for a false 9 to work, we need a wide forward like Musa. It'd mean one of Samu/Kalu drops to the bench. I wish Leon was 5 years younger. Still our best ball playing CB in my opinion. |

What I enjoyed most in last night's game was Osimhen's aggression it was Diego Costa - like, and I'm loving it, the boy should keep it up and if he can back it up with consistent goal scoring, in few year's time he will become a nightmare for any central defender. The aggression of the team generally to bad referee calls was also top notch, bye bye to the days when bad officials will be making scandalous calls all match and no one will raise a voice. I imagine if it was Osimhen that scored that Musa goal ruled out for offside against south Africa last year... The referee for hear am!! |

Kog45:That boy is below average at best. He was the weak link all game and has always been, in all the matches he's played for the Eagles. A certain Stanley Amuzie wasn't this poor in his Ephemeral stay with the Eagles |

I concur with you. The lad got this fire burning so hot in him. An unrivalled passion and drive that makes a good player great. He's evolving into a monster #9 for us and I can see his evolution bringing about a player that defences will dread and referees won't wanna mess around with. Hanibal: |
