Excellent development for Nigerian economy. More jobs on the horizon.
Intelligent folks would be thinking and planning to tap into the project to create wealth, fools on the other hand will be busy attributing their cursed state on buhari.

Good development, but i was thinking according to your statement the people who you call ''fools'' that are living in the hinterland who has been been affected by wrong economic policies overtime will can key into this contract which is highly technical.
Another thing i have observed is your consistent insults on people even going and extra length to call and ex-president daft on your profile.
I think it is not good for us as brother and sisters in this country to insult and each other which continue to bring a big divide among us politically and religiously.

How can a government be empowering a foreign company ahead of an indegenous company. Why Daewoo and the rest? Why no a small startup owned by a Nigerian?

Local companies like us will play sub for this match bro,the truth is that most local dont have the capacity to run that project, train 7 is a big project we have been waiting on this for over 10yrs now. I cant wait .

You could not award the local companies but the international ones.
If this current regime promises a self-sufficient economy and are doing this, then it is a clear epitome of illusion .

True.
There has to be local participation in every major project.
I hope these players subcontract it to Nigerian firms.

NLNG is partly owned by foreign companies. Everything isn't federal character. Although, there's the local content law, which wholly owned Nigerian company do you know that can handle a portion of the contract?

P.S. Biko, this is not the kind of job a startup can handle.

The contract will be for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC).

Nigerian companies DO NOT have the competence or capacity to undertake major growth projects like this.

However, there are Nigerian content regulations that will see several Nigerian Companies benefit from the Nigerian content portion of the contract.

NCDMB fully endorsed the bid process which is why they were also present at the signing today.

PMB needs to make sure that majority of those employed on this project are Nigerians. At least 85%. So that they can learn skills and reduce unemployment. I hope there are laws that any foreign country should employ at least 85% Nigerian citizens.

This is how most countries do it and they audit these companies periodically to ensure they are compliant. This also can help immigration to weed out and deport non compliant and the ones who are here illegally.

It won't be so, the contract was won based on the % of Nigerian Contents, so it is going to be the other way round. Believe me. So get your CV ready and P Chat me. All the best
