I have this feeling he's been nursing a huge pent up beef with pdp since the defeat of Tambuwal in Port Harcourt. His recent pronouncements seem to be totally at variance with the direction of his party. No alignment whatsoever.

Party says they're heading to S-Court, he's busy congratulating. Party constitutes a comittee on emergence of principal officers in NASS and he calls trashes the committee, cautioning them not to come near Rivers. All these in a bid to rub it in apparently.

Whatever it is, may Nigeria emerge victorious in all her battles, including that with all these pathological crooks we call leaders.

And there are many people from the south who are interested in the contest and expect the south to get the ticket.

The interest of a peaceful nation is what is key despite our political diversification.

Simple. The stability of the nation is paramount. It is not that Wike or other right minded people vouch for the elections or accept the incumbent was duly elected free and fair but the consequences of a change of government at this point in time where internal security is on a knife edge and could go sideways very easily, when the economy is also on a cliff edge and any jolt could push it deeper into recession....

Like I said previously the best the nation can hope to get from this inquest is solid electoral reforms and stronger institutions along best practices. If the INEC, the Judiciary, the security services, etc are not improved after this, then all is totally lost and whoever basks and boasts in victory today will definitely mourn tomorrow just as Atiku rejoiced and perhaps mocked his political adversaries just a few years ago knowing not that the crooked route he took will end up an intractable maze of mystery in the future for him.

We should all be circumspect and always look at the bigger picture and decide in favour of what is best for the country and the institutions that should run it rather than the passing interests of individuals whose footprints will fade like those on a wind swept, wave drenched beach.

Wike is just ready to move on. So should every Nigerian. Learn the lessons, reform the system and move on.
