The so-called hike is not enough to generate profit for the discos. Until the rate crosses N110/kwh, we will continue doing merry-go-round. |

Creamz:1. Putting the meters on electricity poles Most do that. Doesn't take much for determined customers to get vandals who've ladders. 2. Advanced meters that can't be bypassed Smart meters can detect tampers, even ordinary meters have a tamper mode. But unless on very smart grids, bypasses can hardly be detected. Because the meter itself is bypassed (hence the term) to steal energy. |
