Questiontime:
I have never fixed the brakes before. Never even changed the brake pads.

Good that is a diagnosis . how are the parking brakes? Aka hand brakes, are they effective?

Hello all, I’m a newbie here and I’ve read quite a number of posts. You guys do a great job.

I have a Camry 2010 SE (v4, keyless).

I’ve had it for about 3 months, I’ve serviced twice as my mechanic asked me to. I noticed the check engine light is always on and also, some days ago, the ABS light popped on. I checked the brakes and it’s great so I don’t know what else to do.

Please any recommendations?

Also, can someone recommend an affordable car scanner? Thank you all.

Questiontime:
Oga Gaz. I drive a 2year brand new Hyundai Accent 2015. The issue is that the brakes have now become very light when I step on it. Previously once you just yap the brakes in motion the car instantly reduces speed but now you would have to kind of really step on the brakes before it catches.
Its not really that bad but I feel that brand new feel I used to enjoy is leaving the car. I met a mechanic and he said it something called the brake master that is getting weak. Please advice on a possible remedy to get that first year braking I used to enjoy. Thanks

I had time to think about your query.

Carefully answer these questions.

Has the air-conditioning been tampered with? Did you replace compressor with a manual one that causes the engine to vibrate?

Thank you for the reply. The AC was by-passed but my mechanic got to it earlier and fixed that.

The engine was vibrating along with the whole interior some weeks ago, my mechanic checked and fixed the plug, he also recommended changing the plugs connecting to the engine which I did and that solved it all.

Also, nothing else has been tampered with to my understanding. I must note here that it’s my first car so I’m a complete noob when it comes to cars.

For the scanner, how much on the average should I plan? Thank you once again. God bless you.

take clear pics of your a.c compressor and air intake picture. 4 clear wide and specific pics please

Oga Gaz, I have never done anything to the car safe for changing the oil as and when due. Never touched the AC or compressor

Good evening my good bosses.

I need your kind inputs. I'm looking at changing my vehicle and I'm torn between 2008 Lexus ES 350 and 2007/2008 Toyota RAV4.

Please, which would you advise me to settle for considering performance and cost of maintenance. Thanks.

This is the right oil weight for particular vehicle. Use only if vehicle has been using this oil weight previously

There is Fire on the mountain o lols
The new tyre I just bought last month to the Right Back side of my Car... I just bent down to check it today ND I noticed it's already wearing from the inner side

Honda Accord 2006 DC please which components on the back can be responsible for that ...coz I did alignment of the back side after getting the tyre ND the Man said it was fine then

September now Tyre has started chopping from the inner part which means if I do long journey I might loose the tyre

Please what's the solution I need Gurus o so that I can guide my mechanic

Your accord naturally has slightly negative camber from the factory, but wear should not be this fast.

As far as i am aware, there is no adjustment (no alignment) for the rear wheels on this model unless you will remove cut and weld the part and reinstall.

As far as man concerned, one of the bushings is bad and would need replacing.

I experience the same issue with my 2003 accord. 1 rear wheel is more affected than the other in my case so i know one bushing is more dilapidated than the other.

I am gonna have to disagree boss. The adjustable camber in the video are from aftermarket parts but not OEM.

OEM's of most Honda's including mine come completely welded with no adjustments whatsoever. I have used 4 generations of Accord and 2 of Civic and none has any of the adjustment depicted in the video.

However, I am aware of some models of the 4th generation of Accord (Honda Hala) and Prelude that has 4 wheel steer, as a result have toe adjustment from OEM.

Yeah in my Case to one is more affected than the other the issue is how to recognize which of the bushing is Bad now

Honestly the problem is you patronise road side mechanics. You need to switch to a modern workshop.

Get the car scanned to know why you have the lights in the first place. Change technician as advised.

Hello. I tried to start my vehicle and it ignited, but went off almost immediately.
What could the problem be? Vehicle model is Mazda Xedos 9.
Thanks.
