This story isn't complete yet... I don't think that man in the pix is the self acclaimed SERIAL KILLER they caught him way too easy, psychopaths are very slippery and it takes lots of work and commitment from the Armed Forces to nab him. But if this is the said killer, he should be hanged by the balls for taking lives he can't create.

You have a point, I don't think the serial killer that has been doing this is this careless, he operates very methodically and carefully. Let's watch out though if any other killing happens in future, I hope not

Meanwhile, scores of women took to the streets of Port Harcourt on Wednesday in protest. They called on the police and other security agencies to fish out those behind the serial killing of young women in hotels in the state.

The women, who were clad in black attire, marched to the Government House, the Department of State Services office and the state police command headquarters.

The President, Port Harcourt South, District 9141, Rotary International, Mrs Rita-Marley Nkembueze-Idonor, urged the police to carry out an unbiased but speedy investigation into the killings with a view to apprehending those behind the dastardly act.

Handing over a communiqué signed by 77 women and other groups to the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, the Rotary president urged the state government and the police to prevail on hotel owners to install closed-circuit television cameras in strategic points on their premises.

Nkembueze-Idonor said, “We have looked at the serial killings of women in Rivers State and we are saying no to the killings. We are saying that a thorough, unbiased and speedy investigation should be carried out by the police with the aim of putting an end to these killings.

“Also, a public apology should be made regarding the comment by the police that all the women, who were killed, were prostitutes. All hotels should have CCTV cameras; they should also embrace a proper way of getting the details of every guest. Police emergency numbers should be pasted in all hotel rooms and other public places.”

When our women take up matters, we just have to act.
They should do more of this as the Abeokuta and Aba women did on governance matters.

I swear this one tire me.i have heard them catch two separate serial killers now. Is Nigerian police confused??. Or is it only me seeing this ??shay I watched a vedio earlier of one caught on his way to uyo from buguma in rivers. Is police playing with my head now??

This story sounds somehow...

Nigeria is a country where there are no strong forensic investigations...what if thus said man is a victim of false allegation by this girl? What if the girl raised alarm that he tried to strangle her simply because of a transaction or agreement gone wrong which she decided to take advantage of to defame him and get him into trouble?

I am not trying to exonerate him but things happen in this country.

The lady said she was asleep and woke up to see the man charging at her with a pillow before she raised alarm...if someone is asleep and you try to strangle them with a pillow, you don't charge...you do everything quietly because the tool used (pillow), the bed the victim is lying down on are all sound adsorbent plus the fact that the muffled screams during the strangulation will not be heard more than 5 metres away from the spot of the crime UNLESS IN THE CASE WHERE THE VICTIM IS ABOUT TWICE STRONGER THAN THE PERPETRATOR which is very unlikely in this scenario!

The police should really investigate this!

This story is not adding up. It sounds staged.

I still maintain women should stop following strangers to hotel that's only plausible strategy.

in the other thread with the interview with the killer, the NPF claimed they caught him in Uyo. this is a diff story. I no trust them
