The world might be a place with tragedies festering it ranging from famines to wars. Yet the greatest power of destruction and fostering these tragedies lies in the minds of humans who lose humanity, and unleash the evilness in them. The world is full of this sort of evilness advocating negativity, obliterating peace, and holding animosity towards whole of the mankind. #22. General Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babaginda. He killed the integrity of Nigeria as a nation. He gave oil blocks as gifts to people who knew nothing about oil like the one he gave his wife’s tailor, Mrs. Alakija. His rule was one where corruption was practically legitimized. He made Nigeria join OIC. It is alleged that he killed people who dared to speak out against his atrocities like the reporter Dele Giwa. He is said to have been so charming and slippery that some of those who initially saw him for the brutal dictator he was ended up mesmerized. Hence his nickname Maradonna. He came into power via a coup and it was a coup that ousted him to oblivion. There was great rejoicing in Nigeria on that day. However, his successor Sani Abacha was not charming and so did not enjoy public acceptance even though he was not as wicked as Babaginda.
