I was diagnosed with astigmatism too, though slight 0.5. But the light sensitivity is driving me nuts, my glasses are photochromic, so they darken under sunlight.

Me too, sun is giving me a tough time. You don't need and upgrade, the problem is not the refractive error, but the sensitive eyes. I guessed we have to live like this.
