During my year one one professor Pikin wey dey year three we gather dey hostel. The guy na pissanthus weeweebuchi. As in even if he piss 5 minutes ago once he sleeps he go open the floodgates of heaven. Every body left room for the guy but me. Na here you go see patience. Though I dey lower level I was older than him by far. I started by making him feel very uncomfortable in his sleep. If no be music na game. He go just dey hiss. I no send. Even when he thinks he is not sleeping which he actually is I dey penetrate him subconciousness.He go get up, hiss go piss come go sleep. Next if he mistakenly piss, before anyone wake up I Don wake am, we Don clean the bed and room sharp sharp wash sheets before anyone soji. That piss stigma Don comot be that. Before you know it T Don forget say he dey piss. I noticed but didn't tell him. The mama cry come the day he slept over their house for the weekend. See tears. On top piss wey stop. E no reach one month na US the guy go start school afresh. Because of piss he no fit travel.
Bottom line.. Buy the alarm. You too be the alarm. Don't pressure him. E go change. Piss be unto you

This might sound very odd but it was saved many families from this same problem.

Let him pee on hot charcoal fire before going to bed at night.

He will feel very hot anytime he wants pee on himself this will prompt him to wake up automatically and that is the end of the story

There's no point seeing any doctor. It's absolutely natural. And maybe either of your parents had similar problem when they were around his age. He'll stop soon, and it'll be like a miracle.

More of psychological. i did till I was 17years thou by then the frequency had reduced.
see me now, last bed wetting episode is over 13 years now. just ensure the psychological stressor is dealt with.
Glory to God, I am a licensed medical doctor today.
Other things he can do.
avoid drinking water after dinner.
ensure using the toilet immediately he starts feeling sleepy.
Have a wake up and urinate alarm via any of the smart devices say at 2 am.
God be with him.

It is called incontinence .Nocturnal enuresis.

When the bladder is so full and the urethra is at ease nocturnal enuresis occur.

Check his diet and activities.. Place him under close observation for 2-3days.. Note the quantity of water he takes per day.. Let him reduce the quantity by 50 to 60%.. He will surely stop bedwetting..
If this doesn't work, then you need to take him to a doctor

I have a sixteen years old brother that is still bed-wetting. Dad and Mom has done everything humanly possible, but all their efforts ends in futility.... So many methods have been devised to just help him but non worked.

Initially we thought it was because of late dinner, he was stopped from eating when it is after 7pm

There was a time that dad use to whip him, but he stopped when he realized he's not getting any better.

We have bought some medicines, but it is still the same story.

Currently everyone is tired and no one is talking about it anymore... my parents believes that when he gets to uni he will change after a single inglorious display of this act.. He is currently in ss3.

what baffles me is that, my bro doesn't show any sign of remorse. He is always unapologetic and doesn't really give a damn...

Please nairalanders, is there anything else we aren't doing...?

Chai I remembered when I dey piss like him but stop after sec school .make una chill he go soon stop. I dont even know how I stopped it.
My own was worse ,I dey bedwet around 5 am self ,if u see embarrassment ehhhh.I suffer for my people hand then.make una show him love nd relax for him biko I go soon stop it.it seems like ur bros plays a lot cos for me if I dey play dey piss for dream na so I dey piss for bed, and at times I go remember say na dream and jumped up to see fresh urine chai.I bedwet ehhhhhhhhh.

Your dad thought he enjoyed bed wetting. My mum was disgracing me in the presence of visitors before I turned 14,when she realised it was getting out of the ordinary she stopped and started feeling my shame and worried. This a depressing period for your brother and you all should show him love with prayers.

It affected me in several ways.I never stopped blaming God for abandoning me,stopped going to church when I was 14 and finally stopped believing his existence by 16.And couldn't further my education because of the shame.

The people I lived with after leaving home acknowledged I had a problem and never treated me like an outcast. They helped in finally finding a trado cure for me when I was 22.

My son is going through same problem and I can't find a solution to it.But I have not stopped letting him know I understand what he is going through.

I don't know if it is hereditary or bewitchment but it is not something I wish for any kid.

I have a cousin like that too, all through his secondary school he was a bedwetter, during that period he felt it was his right to be bed-wetting. There is nothing that we did not do then.
When he gained admission into the university and he started seeing small small girls, no be person tell am to buckle up.
As per your brother he will stop once he have a girlfriend.

I advise you guys to try herbal medicine,i stopped bedwetting at a late age too,they tried everything for me too,las las,na one local hausa medicine i drink,i only took one cup and up till this day i dont bedwet anymore

It's a normal thing, my kid bro of 17 years of age still does it till today. Though is reducing, it's no longer a regular thing but just once in a while.. With time he's going to stop it.

Though over feeding is the main course, is nothing spiritual biko

I still bedwet whenever I drink too much water before sleeping and there is cold due to fan, ac or rain/open windows.

Take care of the problem, it's not spiritual or about age!
It's scientific.

Tell him to stop drinking lots of water from 6pm,
Make sure he sleeps with full thick clothes,
Make sure he's room is never cold, (
Turn off the fan and close the windows)
