As a police officer, my dad told me how seriouse the situation is. Northern State are bad posting in police force because they are not financially lucrative , Since the IG is always from the North. Northerners are given good postings where they will be financially ok, while southerners are posted to the North where there is no money and will be fighting bokoharam, bandits, and other insurgency. Anytime we have a Nothern IG all commissioner of police in South East and South South will be Northerners. Then the Northern commisioners will in turn post Mobile police Commanders, Sars Commanders, Special Protection Unit, Mechanise Salary Sections, all will be Northerners because money are in those offices, then the non lucrative remnants will be given to the southern indigens.

I'm not sure which worries me more - the fact that Southerners are given 'dry' postings, or that there are even 'lucrative' postings in the Nigeria police force.

Agreed, common sense should have made the OP realized that he needs giving the details of all the military formations in all the 6 zones we have, give the composition of all the military formations in all of them and the origin of the key men manning them. Like he has done to the south south and south east.

That could have been the modus operandi of the Nigerian Military. That is, not posting an indigene of a region to man the key military formations of ones region. Who knows?
They may be in other geopolitical zones en mass, manning their military formations.
