Remember Bashir Othman Tofa? He is a Nigerian politician from Kano State and was the National Republican Convention (NRC) candidate in the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election, won by his rival Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, but the military government of General Ibrahim Babangida never released the official results.NIGERIA NEEDS TO BE RESTRUCTURED TO A TRUE FEDERAL STRUCTURE OR FEDERAL STATE WITH MORE POWERS DEVOLVES TO THE REGIONS. There is too much powers at the centre today while the states that make up the federation are suffering economically. The political leadership must do away with the military imposed UNITARY CONSTITUTION which is disguised as a federal system of government. |

them say nigeria must be one by force. some say no, some say yes. some from the other side wey dey wear red cap say yes because them get their business for the other side wey dey wear caftan. the ones wey suppose champion the division wey them come from the other side wey dey wear red cap; just give them envelope, na so them go reveal their secrets about the division to you. then e get some people wey come from one side wey dey wear bubua them say no as well because of religion as them dey align with the people wey dey wear caftan and because them still get stakes on the side wey dey wear red caps. Una see as the whole thing scatter like my writeup? na so the country scatter too. Happy 59th birthday to Ibo, Hausa and Yoruba. ![]() |

Because it's the turn of the Ibos, Hausa politicians have all agreed to ditch the zoning principle. It was a PDP thing anyway, it's not written anywhere in the constitution, but we all know it was the only thing that kept Nigeria together after the murder of MKO Abiola. I blame the south east though, they haven't built enough bridges. The only Igbo politician who has consistently built bridges and maintained communication with other power-blocs has been Orji Uzor Kalu, and even he has favoured the north alone and he lacks a robust political structure across Igbo land itself, his homebase. 2023 will be a contest between the south west and the north, en-bloc. Count the Ibos out because Nnamdi Kanu is a pussy. Considering the deep south, Goodluck Jonathan has shown plainly that he is not a politician with the way he crept away into obscurity, post-2015. Wike is bold and he has consistently shown promise, but he needs a heavier & wider 'military' backbone to be able to spit in the eye of the power of incumbency. Jonathan is well positioned to provide that backbone because he still has a lot of favours due in from the creeks, from when he reigned in Abuja. Himself and Wike could synergise to blanket the Delta with their loyalists and, at the minimum, wrest a much better deal for the core south now that the tribal beast we know as Federal Nigeria is severely weakened from its engagement with Islamic State. But the question is, does GEJ have the courage? |

Dammylink:LOL. We said this 5 years ago. Personally, I am of the opinion that the North should continue for as long as possible. By the time they make the entire nation crumble to its feet economy and security-wise, perhaps the Southerners will come together and put up a bloodless resistance to leave this flawed union. |

davodyguy:HAHAHAHAHAHAH I said it here before, El- Rufai is the next president of Nigeria, Buhari will never ever hand over power to a southerner - how will a man who gave all sensitive and powerful positions to northerners in his 2 terms as president hand over power to a southerner - think, people think |
