South African Government has granted request for the Nigerian Airline, Air Peace to commence commercial flights to Johannesburg, South Africa.

This is in reciprocity of the bilateral air services agreement that Nigeria has with South Africa.

Nigeria’s ministry of Foreign Affairs says the request was granted during Nigeria/South Africa Bi-National Commission Summit in Pretoria, South Africa.

The operator of Air Peace Airlines, Allen Onyema has also confirmed that the airline will commence operations as soon as possible to promote air travel between Nigeria and South Africa.

Recently Air Peace Airlines evacuated Nigerians in South Africa free of charge due to xenophobic attacks in that country.

South Africa now has sense more than us. We are too forgetful and that is why we keep recycling all these leaders that did us no good in the past. It's not even up to a month that some of our people were evacuated and SA government is already stretching a carrot in form of license to thesame airline and we rolled out our drums to celebrate. It means that valuable people have left SA and they want them back.

My brother am from Asaba. We dont have airport. What we have is airport for the girls,it was built to import foreign girls for politicians birthday party. After spending billions of naira and still spending. So, count Asaba out and look for another airport for the air lifting.

Trust me those who return are actually people who are stranded there for a while with no mean of returning.. People with expired visas and such..no matter how bad south Africa get.. It won't be has bad as Nigeria.. I stay here so I know
