Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, today, at the Government House, Enugu, celebrated Mass with members of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial arms of government, including heads of the security agencies in the state, the state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Augustine Nnamani and Chairman, Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH, Igwe Amb Lawrence Agubuzu, among others, to mark the nation's 59th Independence Anniversary.

Gov. Ugwuanyi also inspected a Guard of Honour to commemorate the annual ceremony. The former Governor of old Anambra State, Senator Dr. Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, was equally at the Government House, Enugu, to celebrate with the governor.
