Good day house,
My spouse visa extension was approved today despite applying outside 28 days unintentionally and several months of absence in the UK.
I have been off and on the UK for some personal reasons which my husband explained in details on the form. We started completing the form earlier than 28 days within intension to submit yesterday after all uploads. We had no idea that when you pay the fee is when the application will be submitted. So we submitted 37days to expiration of my visa. I was so worried and having paid for super priority again. My husband was so calm and said to me that they can never deny spouse visa unless the marriage is fake or the sponsor reports the applicant and some other reasons deem fit by UKVI. My husband did a cover letter explaining that we did not know that when payment is received means submission and acknowledge our mistake as ignorance is not excuse. by the time we returned home from my appointment, I got an email stating that my visa has now been granted. though my husband said that the times that I have been absent from UK, that I will need to make them up, that at the time of indefinite leave to remain, I may be granted an extension. He is confident that the worst UKVI do is to keep granting extension while collecting their application fee. My situation was uncommon to some lawyers, that I secretly spoke to some lawyers behind my husband and none offered advise despite my willingness to pay for their services.

It is not true that UK embassy accepts only Ikoyi registry. They accept others too.
Thanks

Hello Benz101 congrats on your successful application. Please did your employer had to stamp all your 12months pay slip that you submitted? Cos I only ask my employer to stamp 6months and also a letter. Thank you while I wait for your reply.
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Demoore(m): 12:26pm On Oct 05, 2019
My advice is that every document your employer provides you with should be stamped and/or signed: the 12 months pay-slips, employer letter, P60 etc.

Ok thank you for your reply. But I have already got the stamped 6months payslips and a letter. Has anyone submitted only 6months payslips and had a problem? Please I will really appreciate your quick response. Cos I thought they only need 6months payslips and 6months bank statements.

Sorry is it 28 days from submitting the online application or the day you take your documents to their office and do biometric? Cos we have employment letters dated 30th September and last payslip dated 7th October stamped. I am submitting all my documents and do my biometric on the 17th of October. We submitted our online application on the 22nd of September. So are the letter and payslip still within 28 days?

Good day house. Please I am asking on behalf of a friend. My friend wants to do court marriage in Bariga registry in Lagos to use it for her spouse visa application, she has gone to the registry and she was told the certificate is very authentic and can be used internationally. But the problem now is that some of her friends told her that local registry is not acceptable by UK Embassy only federal registry at Ikoyi. Please house how true is this? She is a confused. And beside the money for Ikoyi registry is higher, they were charging 60k while Bariga is charging only 15k. I will appreciate your suggestions please. Thank you.
Untrue... Mine wasn't from Ikoyi

The combination of both your incomes combined should be more than £18K. This should include any savings (Personal and Joint savings)...

Good day everyone,
Please who has applied recently and is waiting for a response from Home office?
How long does it take when you apply (non-piority)?
Do they start counting from the day you submit online or from when you do your Biometric?
Plus, I just got an offer for a job, and they are definitely going to ask for my status, what do I give or tell them?
Thank you

Summary Timeline:
Application sent online: 12 Sept
Biometrics: 30 Sept
BRP card received: 1 Nov
Date of approval on card: 30 Oct

Seems it takes 1 month from biometrics to date of approval....

Good luck to all those seeking to extend!

Hello Everyone,

Now that some of us have successfully applied for the FLR visa, I thought it would be great to have another dedicated page for ILR.

Is it true you can apply for FLR(M) after spending 30 months in the UK.

I read it somewhere.
