Her official story is that her father is Bahraini, I have my doubts about this as her real surname is Agbapuonwu . She was born in Anambra and resided in Onitsha until moving to Bahrain after showing prodigious talent as a youth champion athlete.

She is the 2019 World Champion in the event with a personal best time of 48.14 seconds. None of her parents are from Bahrain. She’s pure Igbo girl with a very aggressive streak. She works hard, stubborn, a fighter and rebellious.

Kemi Adekoya is another Nigerian that competes for Bahrain. In the 100m event, Edidiong Obong runs for them. Bahrain is aggressive in poaching and recruiting African athletes to compete for them. They support athlete’s development and reward those who excelled and bring honour to their country. Ebele Naser is made and with that gold, personal best and record coupled with having Bahraini national anthem played with their flag waving, imagine what awaits her when she arrives the country.
