Yes both parents even for the biracial ones. I happen to have a nephew who is talented in several sports. His mom who is Russian wants him to experience his Nigerian heritage so badly. I’ve promised her I will take him to Nigeria. His father (my bro) doesn’t give a damn about Nigeria one bit. To make matters worse, my nephew who is 9 is also American, and can speak several languages.
komekn:
Were you are born can influence you to a great degree, but the BIGGEST INFLUENCE possible is your parents if they they play their role correctly.

I was born in the UK and l went to Nigeria for the first time when l was 11. Before l became too Oyibo according to my Father and off to boarding school in Warri I was despatched.

I am not Ibo, but l speak Ibo l understand and speak my language as well. I have a workable understanding of Yoruba very basic though.

My cultural identity is entirely Nigerian but l can be multi faceted. When I'm with oyibo you would think i am a lost son. Often l hear Nigerian talking about me thinkibg l dont understand what they are saying sometimes derogatory. That's very amusing when l then speak Ibo or Yoruba to them.

When l reach Warri you may think that na complete area I be.

So am l still an Abroadianhuh

There are Nigerians who were born and bred in Nigeria predominantly the women. Some from small towns and villages.

On arrival they become more oyibo than the Oyibos denying all things Nigerian within a few weeks in the UK. Are they not Nigerian born and bredhuh

Something to think about its not so simplistic.

Wow. Didn't know. I left the game after the first 45 mins as I had to go attend to something. Didn't watch the second half. I just checked the scores thereafter and saw that they lost 2-1. Was sad but it's football shaa.

andrew444:
According to what i read, chukwueze error lead to osasuna second goal, but nobbody stated it here, thou i also didnt watch the game

If its another player that did error, so many of them will use it against the player just because he is not their favorite

Well the last time both started together, they played 4-4-2. But today, it seems one of them will lead the line with the other supporting from the flanks. Still not certain of their formation upfront.

We have a collective voice here. And each person’s opinion is worth 2 cents. Nothing more. Those who watched the game should come here and say what happened. People have their favorites and may ignore, but don’t castigate them when your membership here is at the same level as theirs. We are talking as if there is some highly esteemed class here whose voice matter more. This is not true. This is a faceless thread, your voice counts as much as mine.
Thank you Sir. You just spoke my mind.

Aribo returns to the bench. He is getting better and that is good news.

Ojo starts for Rangers.

With Samuel Kalu ruled out of the Brazil game, I think we may see Simon Moses start or could it be Bonaventure? Time will tell. Just glad Aribo is back.

That is what Goal also showed me. That means Osimhen plays from the right in a 4-2-3-1. All this is just in a bid to accommodate Remy.

With Rohr at the helm I'm scared we might lose him. Dude has been sabotaging our efforts to get this foreign bred players bkus he feels we are poaching European talents and that it is quite unfair to the countries that brought them up only for us to jump in and reap the dividends. Last year he granted an interview where he openly condemned the action, saying that African nations should stop stealing European talents that he was disappointed to find out that most of the players he helped groom for France during his stay there, ended up playing for Algeria instead of France whose system made what they were. Haven't u noticed his reluctancy in getting these guys to play for us?

Did u kno it was Rohr who turned down Danjuma when his agent called to inform that he was interested in playing for Nigeria, Rohr told him point black that he already had enough wingers. Imagine the wingers - Simon and Musa
