I agree with you to an extent but there has always, always been make-up. What we're seeing now is just a development of beauty enhancements from the past. Even our ancestors would not be plain on their wedding day, its in the nature of humans to decorate themselves

Sure, but no one should be castigated from not decorating her face. Lol, the one we see now I doubt is an advancement of the ancient styles, but a new total deception. In the past, ladies used powder and pencil lead which doesn't really mask their looks, but the reverse is the case today. Maybe the one am talking about is extreme make-up.

My Wife doesn't use Makeup, but I bet you, with all your Sister or Girlfriend or Wife's Makeup, They are still not as attractive.

Nobody should be castigated for not decorating their face but at the same time people shouldnt pretend that our ancestors were living in some kind of pre-colonial bubble where nobody cared about their appearance or chose to adorn or decorate themselves...it didnt just start now.. people shouldnt be made to feel bad for whats a normal part of humanity. Its just that you shouldnt rely on it or overdo it and fall victim to your own vanity

On the other hand the materialism of todays society has made it so that people feel a lot of pressure to pretend to be something they are not in order to keep up.. the "extreme make-up" is just a symptom of it

In my opinion the bride could/should at least have put on some light powder and lipgloss for the sake of her wedding occasion... not to do with make-up but to do with looking tidy and decent as a human being celebrating a special day and presenting herself as a bride to the world
