You lack communicative skills. If your opinion is different and you feel you can give another perspective to an argument, you state it clearly with reasoning.

Not by the use of abusive word. I understand you might have been part of those who took part in the sex for grade scheme. That is why you can't communicate or construct your argument. You learnt nothing in school.

Simple .
Your logic and thinking is wack. You better be guided and stop intentionally twisting the truth. One day you may be in a position of power with this wack reasoning and you will find a way to justify your crazy actions which may end your life or career. You better learn to see the truth and speak it.

Nonsense

The Europeans are at it again. Hardly has the useless BBNaija ended that another episode of trash has begun to grace the dailies.

Let me first ask critical thinkers? When will Europeans release a full documentary or do undercover agency to nail the underhand government officials in the corridors of power?

When will Europeans release a full documentary detailing how oil is being illegally siphoned and how dubious, overbloated oil contracts are awarded? Hmmn, just maybe they're beneficiaries. smiley

When will these Europeans release a full documentary detailing how they took for themselves our Benin artefacts, as well as old precious works of art for centuries without returning them?

When will the pinkish-skinned masters release a full documentary on how their men invaded Africa and sowed seeds of discord, pitting tribe against tribe, supplying ammunition and creating wars within us, while shipping our resources to hinterland?

Are they also ready to tell us how they came and took our ancestors, with their utterly useless bible in one hand and a gun in their back pocket, how they promised good life but took our men to become tireless slaves in their plantations; punched holes in their lips and padlocked them so they couldnt eat even a seed ?

Are they ready to let you know how they took our women, our mothers up to the third, fourth generation... and how they turned them to sex slaves?

With all their media brainwashing of the perfect model body that is characterised by a slim lady with no breast and nyansh, you only have to feel for them because that is the best they have to offer on the average. Their women no deh get nyansh, no deh get breast, yet their pictures would grace the magazine covers because of their deluded sense of self-worth and racial superiority.

On the contrary, go to a motel and you would see how their men pursue black women. Our women are thick and endowed and that is just how they love it despite the pretense.

I want you guys to know that the whites and Europeans back then did the most unimaginable things in the world to our women. They bleeped them day and night, at will - practically stripped them off of any sense of worth left, and made them feel completely inferior. There were just no cameras then to record all these things.

Now I wonder what gave them the effrontery to step foot in Naija and begin to do nonsense undercover agency when there is still oil theft, corruption and other pressing damning things pushing Nigeria to the brink of ruin.

Yes I get it, there are many bad Nigerian lecturers out there, taking advantage of our ladies.

BUT WILL THEY ALSO DO A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT LADIES THAT ARE DETERMINED TO F**K LECTURERS, SOMETIMES JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT?

Sometimes for the prestige, say "I dey date lecturer"?

And just so you know, many of the sexual encounters that occur between lecturers and students do not always involve 'marks'. In the lecturer's mind, hin just dey chop fresh fish. Na only the bae dey always dey think say because she serve punna, her score go boost.

How that one con take be lecturer fault? He's simply committing fornication; that's it. Oh because he's a lecturer, he should stay faithful to his wife -- same wife wey over 100 various d*cks don tidy when she dey her 20's? undecided

Make una dey use brain abeg.

Attached is a picture of a 'moral' European adulating our mother up to about the fourth generation.

It's a bit difficult to understand you. If some Europeans were bad in the past, does that justify irresponsible behaviour on our part presently?
Does one evil justify another?
Who abolished the slave trade? Did Africa contribute anything to that? Were our ancestors not disappointed that the merchants were not coming so that they could continue to sell their relatives for gunpowder, sugar and more wives?

Maybe if the BBC do a documentary on the state of electricity in the country and the cabals sabotaging the country electricity grid.. We are finally going to have an answer to our problems.

I'll say to those who commented above if you didn't watch the full documentary then you all won't understand jack.
The lecturers are bad and what they did and are doing are extremely wrong. They should be punished.

I also want to note one thing. They didn't pick the girls out. The girls made themselves available for their picking. If they didn't lure these lecturers they won't even look at them. Despite the fact that most lecturers are pure bred goats. They still lured them.

I totally agree with your second paragraph. That self control and self discipline is key. That is why I stated in my comment that no one can force you to do what you don't want to especially if you have strong will ( Now this goes for both lecturers and students).

But your first paragraph on power dynamic not been equal is wrong. So you feel the power students have is lesser than that of the lecturers. That is where you are getting it wrong.

Infact students have more power than the lecturers. I have seen students who are strong will and who know their right that don't participate in such acts. They record, (audio and at times videos) and report such incident to their parents and authority. Why because they are the one who decide what happens?

For example, it might sound funny to use this example in this case, a woman decide who she wants to have intercourse with in the dating world. Not the man. If you think as a male because you are woeing her and giving her lavish gift made her accept you, then you are in la la la land fantasy world. She still need to accept you even if she changes her mind. The power is in her hands. She can take all your gifts and praises and still end up with someone who gave her nothing. It is the pure truth. That is why most men are always complaining that after all they gave or did for her she didn't even look at them.

I believe this same point is valued for both students and lecturers. Even if you sweet talk the students, threatening the students, or the students approach the lecturers. It is still the students that will determine what happens. It is the lecturers that have a lot too loose in terms of employment, reputation, social status, marital status, and religious status. The students have more power to destroy the lecturers especially when they are discipline, determined and know their rights.

Simple.

You are not serious! A relationship between an adult man and and adult woman is in no way comparable to the relationship between a student and his teacher. The teacher is employed in a position of responsibility, if a student is behaving inappropriately it is their duty to resist and even report the student

If you commit a crime and bribe the authorities, is it not the judges fault for taking the money? Shouldnt you be penalised for attempting to pervert the cause of justice?

Stop trying to defend what is clearly wrong!

What are you saying for goodness sake? So what if they lured them? Can somebody with an upstanding character allow himself to be lured? Should a lecturer who studied to PhD level be grabbing women like a sex-starved miscreant? Is he not supposed to warn them and calmly send them out of his office if he has any sense?

True I agree that the relationship is not the same but still shares similarities. It is still a choice based on your self discipline and will.

Why must you go and meet lecturers for help? Once it doesn't favour you. If you followed due process both for admission or you wrote your papers well. Will you still need to go and meet or solicit help from them?

I am not saying lecturers are not wrong or siding them in anyways. I will never want to see or hear a lecturer sexually harass my daughter. It is either death or jail. One will definitely happen for one of us.

But I will also ask my daughter why she went to solicit or meet him for help in the first place? What happened to her friends, coursemate, boyfriend etc.

You see, try to always look at numbers or narrative from both side to get a better judgement of things. Don't be one-sided that is all i am trying to prove.

If a student who is meant to follow due admission process goes to solicit help from lecturers who you know have sexual tendencies who is to be blame?

Let the admission take place naturally, if you are qualified you will get in. Simple.

If a student who is meant to read and pass like every normal students start soliciting for help from the same lecturers when his or her coursemate her available, who is to be blame?

If you read well and wrote well , you will pass. If you feel cheated? Then call for your scripts and prove them wrong. Simple.

If a student brought up from a normal home start meeting lecturers at our office / odd venues or cold room who is to be blame?

Why are you meeting him there? He didn't place a gun or force you to follow him there . You could decline such invitation. Simple.

You see the problem is you all like lying to eachother. It is hypocritical to always think that everything is always right and holy when it comes to female narrating their sexual problems with emotion added to it.

What of the guys who face the same abuse in some form or the other and didn't agree or give the lecturers any opportunities to be placed in a vulnerable situation. No one talks about that.

What of guys who got failed just because the lecturers thought they were dating the girl who placed herself in such vulnerable situation with them. No one talks about that.

I have come to realise the double standards you all have and the entitlement placed on yourselves.

There are rules in place for students who cheat, steal, are violent and who rape other students...why is this one now so difficult for you people to understand??

You are the one twisting everything around to suit your mindset. A student who follows a lecturer, a patient who follows a nurse/ doctor, a suspect who follows a judge, none of them should be indulged. Those are all positions of power and authority and there are protocols in place to deal with them.

Corruption in Nigeria is well known. What's the point of making a documentary on it ? Why don't Nigerias media powerhouses make a documentary on the issue ? Why do you want Europeans to come and do so? The sex for grades documentary was made by Nigerians but had to be broadcast on BBC because Nigerian media didn't care.

The fake oil contracts you talk about are a part of Nigeria's extreme corruption.

Yes the Europeans did slavery and colonization and did horrible things during both just as the Arabs did in East Africa but unlike the Arabs the Europeans have owned up to their past, there's several documentaries on slavery and the horrible things that happened.

You say the lecturers are just committing fornication but in the documentary they clearly pressure the students and trade favours in return for sex. That isn't just fornication. It's abusing your position to rape someone.

The truth is bitter.
I hope you are all ready to swallow it.

Firstly let me commend their effort in this video. It was great and I am happy this is an eye opener which we already know about it.

Now my problem is the story is just one-sided. And I don't like one-sided story to make people feel good or convince themselves.

Our parents, grand parents, great grand parents knew about this sex for favours or marks thing. Even our uncles and aunts or boses still practice this on the younger ones. Keep your eyes open and don't come here and form you don't see it.

Now it is a choice if you want to get involved or not. It has practically been existing eversince. And yet some of us didn't get involved or participate in it. Not because we are holy (trust me we have our own bad habits). But we choose not too. Simple.

One thing I have learnt in life is you can never be used or influenced into doing what you don't want especially when you have a strong will and conviction.

The story is one-sided and it gets on my nerves. Do you know that the amount of students (both male and female student ) that offer themselves voluntarily for this sex for grades is way more than the ones the lecturer force or convince too.

Trust me you all will be amazed that most students even seduce, pay for hotel rooms voluntarily for lecturers to sleep with them. They purposely track lecturers, visit their lodge and practically rape this lecturers. This then makes most lecturers think all students want to be involved in this scheme.

Everyone here on nairaland are mostly hypocrites. You all want to tell me you didn't know about this even in your university years in Naija uni. To the extents some of you even knew your friends both male and especially female who will never attend lectures but will come out with grade A and B. You knew they did it from year one to year four. Even final year project was still through this scheme.

Do you want to tell me all lecturers force them to do it all through those years?

We are all just hypocrites and we are lying to each other. The truth is it will not stop. Especially with the current economy.

Am sure to gain admission now in Nigerian universities they will do the same scheme, with the high population of students that cannot gain admission every year because we lack institutions to admit them. Hmm.

Well I will end my case here. Accept what you see. There is nothing happening that is new under the sun. It might just have be upgraded or modified, but it is not new.

Simple truth but hard to swallow.

So what? So what If there's students doing it voluntarily and renting hotel rooms for it? When people offer bribes to govt officials should we excuse the corruption just because the people offered the bribe ? We expect those officials to reject the bribe and stay honest just like we expect the professors and lecturers to reject the students sexual advances and to stay honest and do their bleeping job

Issues like this are only taken seriously when foreign media house report on them.

We are fucking_ hypocrite in this country.

Maybe if the BBC do a documentary on the state of electricity in the country and the cabals sabotaging the country electricity grid.. We are finally going to have an answer to our problems.

It been 59 years since independence but we still wait for a UK media house to fix our shit_ for us.

Not because we're hypocrites but because through education we're trained to take them seriously since they're the ones creating our reality. Note that the same principle is at work when white people in BBN TV show creates a ''superstar'' for us in South Africa and beam it back home to us and we're dumb enough to take it seriously.

Now to the matter on hand..............

Yes, BBC did a nice job, and this type of expose is worth more than so called charity donation to third world countries. The economic worth of this expose is more than $100 million in monetary aid. Imagine the economic benefit if our universities can actually pass students based on merit, and those students would go on to become credible leaders in future.

Unfortunately, the BBC can't help investigate stolen wealth sitting in British banks and other Western banks worldwide because that would immediately become a threat to British and other Western banking syndicates who help leaders in third world countries launder money.

The cabals you people talks about are educated slaves working for Western interests in third world countries (former European colonies). The cabals doesn't exist in and of itself. Once you understand that, you'll understand why the BBC can't investigate electricity in Nigeria. In fact, if the university expose becomes a threat to Western interest tomorrow, it would be stopped.

In a Wikileaks release in 2010, Shell petroleum boasted that ''Nigerians don't know how much we (shell) control the government.''

So, its not as simple as that.
