In Nigeria:
In Yoruba, it is called Ewedu.

In Hausa, it is called Rama.

In Arab countries (in Middle East and North Africa), it is called Molokhia or Mulukhiyah or Malukhiyah,

In Arabic: ملوخية

In Northern Ghana, it is called Ayoyo.

In Turkey and Cyprus, it is called Molohiya or Molochas.

In Philippines, it is called Saluyot.

In Thailand it is called Bai Po.


"EWEDU", as is it popularly known by most Nigerians, is a type of leaf is used mostly for making soups but is also used in other meals in other countries.
