Now, these one use plastics get dump most of the time in Rivers, which eventually ends up in the oceans. Some are dumped in landfills, but landfills quickly get filled up.

Imagine, what will happen eventually after a few decades of such everyday dumping of plastics into the oceans. It is estimated that by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans, if something is not done to stop plastics getting into the oceans.

Third, the US senate tries the accused. If he's convicted he's then removed from office. Conviction requires a two-thirds super majority of senators ( a very high bar) . This third phase has yet to happen in the history of this country

Donald Trump’s sweeping attempt to prevent witnesses from testifying before the House committees conducting impeachment inquiries is an act of lawlessness. Full stop.

In theory, there’s nothing wrong about a president pushing back against congressional encroachments into legitimately perceived executive authority.

But there’s a difference between protecting executive turf and stonewalling.

And Trump has crossed that line, by a mile.

Trump’s supposed justification for ordering his entire administration to resist all congressional attempts to obtain their testimony and documents is contained in a letter from White House Counsel Pat Cipollone to Congress. Cipollone’s position is clear and unqualified: “President Trump and his Administration cannot participate” in the congressional impeachment inquiries.

Read “cannot participate” to mean that the entire Trump administration is being ordered by the president to refuse to testify or provide documents to Congress.

Cipollone’s 8-page letter is more political screed than legal brief. Much of it makes purely political arguments that Trump hasn’t done anything wrong, that he doesn’t deserve to be impeached, and that the inquiry is driven by political motives. That’s fine, so far as it goes. Cipollone is entitled to his political opinions. But this isn’t about political opinions. It’s about the law. His legal argument, such as it is, has two prongs:

(1) The inquiry is “constitutionally invalid” because the full House hasn’t voted to authorize it; and

(2) The inquiry violates Trump’s due process rights to cross-examine witnesses, call witnesses, and present evidence.

Let’s take these one at a time:

This “constitutional-validity” argument is simply made up.

There is nothing whatsoever in the U.S. Constitution requiring the full House to vote on an impeachment inquiry (as opposed to passing articles of impeachment), and Cipollone doesn’t cite a single provision of the Constitution—or even a single statute, or court decision, or even a dodgy law-review article in support of his proposition.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two Florida businessmen associated with U.S. President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani have been arrested over violations of campaign finance laws, a spokesman for the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s office said on Thursday.

The businessmen, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, were arrested in connection with a New York case involving campaign finance laws, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan said.

The two men had been planning to fly to Vienna on Wednesday night, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Parnas and Fruman were expected to appear in a federal court in Virginia later on Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Parnas and Fruman conspired to “funnel foreign money to candidates for federal and state office,” according to a federal court filing in New York.

John Dowd, the lawyer for the two men, declined comment on the charges.

Parnas is a Ukrainian businessman. Fruman is a real estate investor. Both, according to various media accounts, helped introduce Giuliani into top Ukrainian political circles.

Giuliani told Fox News that he represents Parnas and Fruman on a separate matter and called their arrest and indictment "timing suspect." He stated that he "will reveal relevant facts very very shortly."

Giuliani, an attorney for President Trump, said he finds it "extremely suspicious" that the arrest was made in connection with an FEC matter that has yet to be resolved, and which Giuliani said is a civil matter. Giuliani acknowledged that both men "logistically helped" in his collection of evidence against Hunter Biden, and that they helped connect him with former Ukrainian top prosecutors Viktor Shokin and Yuriy Lutsenko.
