It was earlier reported today that water hyacinth has taken over the Ikorodu Water Terminal which makes it difficult to boats to navigate the waters.

We have it on good authority that the Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) has commenced clearing of the water hyacinth. Pegging of the ferry route channel commenced last week and manual clearing has already started at the Ipakodo terminal also called Ikorodu Terminal.

If na Abia, Ikpeazu would give Abians kerosene to drink. Hungry Abians would then deny that there are no weeds there.

Just because it is called waterways doesn't mean that it is water that is clean enough. Look at that man that is almost submerged in it, I hope he remembers to take antibiotics.

I think you mean women will come out in force to say, no water hyacinth here.!

Ok, there should be a modern way of clearing water Hyacinth instead of manual approach.
Lagos is too big for this manual approach.

They need to adopt a more strategic approach. The hyacinth are seasonal. So it is better to find the seeds after this exercise
