This was while G.O Adeboye said in one of the then Holy Ghost congress that if there is any Yoruba man who should be grateful to God is Olushegu Obasanjo papa Iyabo. To solve the problem, there was gentleman agreement to rotate presidency between North and South every 8 years.
OBJ did 8 years, and it was the turn of the North to do their 8 years.
Yar'adua got it nd died after 2 years, but since d agreement is not constitutional and stipulates dat d VP take over, GEJ was allowed to complete d remaining 2 years.
North was supposed to be allowed to finish their turn in 2011-2015, but south renege on the agreement and voted GEJ, even OBJ who is d first beneficiary of d zoning came out in public and deny d existence of zoning. In this present republic, by 2023, South will 14 years while North will have 10 years on power.
Anything that qualify South west to contest in 2023 after having 8 years as President and 8 years as VP also qualify North west to contest.
The only regions qualify to talk about zoning power to them is South East, North Central and North East.
