I won't lie to you I wanted to be a web developer but after seeing all the saturation due to low barrier to entry I decided not to do again.... I am now thinking of app development or cybersecurity

App development will need java,klotin mainly used for Android while swift and c is for iOS.....
On the other hand.. any programming languages can be used for app development but the best and most used are the ones above.......
While python, c++, c, Ruby are the best for cyber security depending on what ur doing.... Any programming language can also be used for cyber security but these are the best, most commonly used......

Note: a programming language is like a saw.... All saws are used for cutting.... But the saw u use to cut wood is not the best one 4 you to use to cut pipes...... Just get good at one language first.... The programming language you will use shouldn't be ur top priority

I think if these advertisers are good with what they do, then they should sell their services on freelance sites to a larger worldwide market, instead of limiting themselves to Nigeria where people may not really need web devs.

I don't know about the Nigerian market but I think web devs are still sought after, all over the world, especially on freelance sites. Don't you think so?

They are still sought after... But taking off... Their chances are bleak.... Most web developer don't even know some basic programming concepts so if they finally land an interview... Then it's still a problem.... But imagine competing with a web developer for job in his country...

No matter the kind of work .. people who hire remote workers also prefer them in their countries...
Guy focus on your locality first... But diversity....

From 2016 till date, I have connected with a good number of people who I have rendered various ICT services to.

The amazing thing is till date those people are still my clients even after I moved from freelancing to running my own startup called www.codefixbug.com and they make up 10% of our client base.

Unlike most Nigerian web developers who will go all out to saturate everywhere on the front end with multiple contrasting colors.


Though personally
I am not a fan of sliders......as they are distracting ....a web page should capture the attention of the visitor and hold it for as long as they are on the page.

yeah I don't think the time people spend in niit is enough to make them professionals. I've noticed web development is not easy as I was told actually. backend scripting and nice UI for your application software.

My advice is to go for mobile app and cybersecurity as you need both these days to secure your apps.

I would suggest Xamarin Forms or C++ with JavaScript using Visual Studio .Net
