Promising Chelsea midfielder Faustino Anjorin has cited Chelsea coach Frank Lampard as his footballing role model.

One of the stars of Chelsea's U23 team, the Anglo-Nigerian was handed a debut by Lampard in the 7-1 rout of Grimsby Town in the third round of the League Cup on September 25, playing the last 23 minutes after replacing Pedro.

In the latest episode of 'Out of the Blue', Anjorin was asked about his footballing role model and he replied : ''I have to say Frank Lampard, like I'm not saying that because he's over there but I'm saying that because I've been here for such a long time and being a midfielder''.

Reflecting on his first team debut, Anjorin revealed that he wanted to keep his parents in the dark but the news filtered to them even before he spoke a word.

''I didn’t tell my family at first because I wanted it to be a massive surprise but then they found out before I told them.

''It was bad. As I got home, they were like "is there something you’ve got to tell us" so they already knew but they were buzzing,'' Anjorin admitted.

Aged 17, Anjorin has been training with Chelsea since the age of 6 and signed his first professional contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit a year ago.

Nah, Iwobi is critical to how we play. We have no other creative midfielder.

Even though, he had an average game against Brazil, he still created the best chance with Osimhen in the first.
You have a point bro. but consistency is essential. It's what we need... His inconsistency is really affecting our hungry forwards. .. It is starving them of the ball.

It makes our forwards do extra work unnecessarily too frequently.

It's lik a case of a poor family with the bread winner having a very epileptic source of income.

It effectively drags the team a step forward and three steps backward attack wise.

Someone should remind Iwobi that we don't complain about his goals in Nigeria. He was clearly trying too hard and it affected the team. His first job is getting the ball to our danger men.

That said Aribo should run more with the ball. This is when he is most dangerous. I think he can do much more than he has done so far. The boy is a big talent and I love how Rohr has treated him. Handing him the number 10 shirt and making him feel important.

Ndidi must have read my comment about his performances for the super eagles because the boy was possessed. I think our midfield can be one of the best in the world one day if we keep up this trajectory.
Indeed! Ndidi is possessed. His work rate is inimitable. To succeed in modern football you need more than talent and skill. Those two are useless without putting the shift. You need energy, speed and endurance. Ndidi has these in his arsenal. For me he is the one player in the super eagles at the moment that can make the first eleven of any club in the world. Again not because he is most talented but for his impeccable work ethics

Marcus Rashford has won Manchester United's goal of the month award for the month of September.
The joke is that the goal was a penalty & it was the only goal that Manchester United scored throughout the month.

You see why i dont like england because they are average and they are very bias including southgate

Michael keane has not been doing well and he started last game and southgate saw that he flopped, instead of him to give tomori a chance he prefers Tyrone Mings who has not done better than tomori this season

that's what tomori and abraham signed up for. they have to face it.

Essentially you are saying that the Bundesliga is a mediocre league that lacks quality.

Otherwise how would you show indifference to his very outstanding statistics. last season 12 goals from 34 games and this season 3 goals from 7 matches. We have not even talked about his assists.

Considering he is still just only 19 years of age he is the youngest player to score 15 goals in the history of the Bundesliga.

Will he be able to replicate his goal tally in the EPL, l simply don't know. Yes the Bundesliga is not as Physically intense and fast at the EPL he may adapt and suprise us all.

I believe ebuehi and chukwueze will be a better fit as far as the right wing is concern. Imagine ebuehi technicality and pace together with chukwueze mesmerizing skills will cause lot of problem for our opponents.

@aforbeer, abeg no listen to anyone oooooo, with the way 9ja be now na by grace of God to get a job that will be earning u 80k-150k monthly. this mentality of seeking for a job has made alot remain in the labor market for so many years while the wise ones who went ahead and acquired skills are doing far better. forget many 9ja babes and guy's "a whole me" mentality and get your hands dirty for a better tomorrow.

I am telling you this out of experience, you have to become a prayer warrior to get a good job in 9ja or have an Abraham who will offer that to you on a platter of gold. make hey while the sun still dey shine ooooo.

also if you get opportunity to flee from 9ja abeg no think twice. e no easy anywhere but before you go suffer for abroad for 3-4 years you will surely amount to something better.

all of us once had dreams of working in big government ministries, agencies and conglomerates but after a year of job hunting alot settled with teaching jobs in private schools while some drop cv enter street hahahahahahahahaha!

you are giving advice and telling him not to listen to anyone (including you).....but you offered unsolicited advice first.

You don't even know his situation, but you are quick to tell him how salary work does nor pay and paint a scenario that does not hold true for everyone. This is how some of you on this internet send people into criminal activity, by painting rosy pictures.

Aforbear, use your tongue to count your teeth. I am not saying you shouldn't learn whatever. Many people have made so much progress from this paid salary he is slating, mamy have done Masters and boosted their CVs from the opportunities paid salary afforded them, nobody is asking you to make it your all in all, but make nobody tell you that you can't earn up to 150k from paid salary. I know someone that makes up to 700k salary per month, so, you can make it o.

If you are looking for fast money, then paid employment is not your thing.

Anyway, na you dey wear shoe, na you know as e dey do you. I trust you have a discerning mind and you will choose what is best for you, eventually. Na you get life, nobody on NL will rescue you if anything happens.

There's one thing I noticed in Chukwueze's game, he doesn't do a 1-2 with fellow players to eliminate defenders but rather wants to take on himself

If he does it, things would be easier for him

I know someone in my unit in church whose basic salary is more than N10M per annual.

someone too pays a tithe of N1.5M monthly....

abeg. ..this are salary jobs.
the one that earns over N10M... per annual
is not even up to 40 years....
he is a fellow in ICAN and a finance director in a very reputable NGO....

he told me he started with a job that pays a meagre salary... and today he is doing well for himself.
it is good to start from somewhere.... the most important thing is to keep moving and pushing

My opinion in that defensive line up he was the weakest link.

Let's not be deceived this was a friendly for Brazil they were not going ALL OUT.

We got a draw but we were not the better team and we had a lot of luck.

Oga you are entitled to your opinion. Nobody has said that Nigeria was the better side. All what we are saying is that the boys did a very good job.

And for that defense I believe they were the most impressive of the 3 sections of the team.

Ignore them. They are super liars and deeply hypocritical.

I don't just understand the way some peeps here reason here. That was a stars studded Brazilian team for heavens sake's. A team that was bent on proving their worth after they drew Senegal.

They will always say things to bring down the achievement of Nigerian teams. Tomorrow they will say they are critics and not haters.

exactly.

Start from somewhere.

It is folly to start looking for 150k when you have not even gathered sufficient experience. This generation, everyone just wants to make fast money, nobody is waiting for the process. Even if you acquire skill finish, you still have to build a clientele, money will not just be flowing because you have a skill. Someone who is less informed, will now think everything is rosy for those that aren't under salary employment.

I know a lady that works in the Irish embassy, she makes 900k per month, minus allowances and trips to Ireland. Her last employment, she was making three times less, but that employment helped her learn Spanish, which was instrumental to getting this new job.

People are working in Shell, KPMG, Deloitte, and various well-paying NGOs and making more money than "Team Self-Employed" without disturbing the peace, at least salary money is sure for most, self-employed money is not. Even those in salaried employment learn many skills on the job, someone learnt Spanish courtesy of a job.

Na who no know road, go talk say road far.
