The kalakuta Museum was the home of the great legend, the museum is the exact replica of the original house which has been transformed into a beautiful tourist location. the place represents the life and struggle of fela who was an activitist and always standing against injustice. He tagged the place the Kalakuta republic after he came back from prison.

In 2012 the museum was renovated by the then Lagos state governor Babatunde Raji Fashola and converted into a museum

The museum has covers of Fela's album and images of of the life and time of Fela

the museum has tour guides who will brief you about the different parts of the museum, It attracts a gate fee of 1,000 per adult. It is located around Allen Avenue Ikeja at 9, Gbemiola Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
