Hallenjay:For security reasons, I do not call direct account officers to my account. I usually deal with the headquarters and I also channel my calls to them but they redirect me to my account officers. I send forms with other banks but in gtb, i only send email instructions. |

For opening of account, security interest, open account using your alternate address. I use my village home address. Try making your self unreachable as most of the bankers are terrible. Av gat people's experiences to learn from. You can change your address if possible. |

DaBogu:Those tellers are gang members and give out your address and description when you withdraw large sum. It has happened to a friend that decided to club instead of going home since him don't hammer. His compound was raided door to door asking for the sum he withdrew that day. Next one was followed and intercepted and demanded for exact amount he just withdraw from the bank. Kidnappers dont ask for ransome indiscriminately in some cases, they ask what you have in your bank. As long as you dont collect loan, bank has no biz knowing your house. But since they need an address, give them an address |

Barrytone: ![]() But u r very correct, these robbers and kidnappers don't work randomly. Some bankers are heavy informants. |

zamirikpo:Most of them graduated from same school system like us. They have buddies and gang members and the least they can do for buddies is take the risk and lay a good pass. Nodding ties dont change character, just give them alternative address other than where you reside. It only take them to call the branch in your village to verify the address and your siblings will confirm you are from there, case close. Its even a permanent address and better for them. |

ahiboilandgas:Ordinary 10m and the branch manager becomes too friendly. Poverty is a disease. I had to switch cars, and days I make deposits in the bank when one cashier I have never transacted with called me by my last name. How did she know my father's name. Probably they discuss customers in their weekly meetings but this one is a teller not marketer. The advantage is that they attend to u sharp sharp but oga u r also easy target. It's too easy for them cos like CBN said earlier only 5% of Nigerians have above 500k in their accounts. Only God can save us. |

Let me drop this here: Two brilliant verses about investment in the Bible. You can thank me later ![]() Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 1. Invest your money in foreign trade, and one of these days you will make a profit. 2. Put your investments in several places - many places even - because you never know what kind of bad luck you are going to have in this world. |

Exactly I opened an account and it took them two whole weeks to send me the account number. When I opened a Zenith bank account, I got the account number and access to Internet banking before leaving the banking hall. I was too busy to rant on their Twitter (which I will eventually do) or even call them. I just left them to display their bad habit. Hallenjay: |
